~Chapter Sixteen~

~(y/n)'s P.O.V~

...Ah, that feels so much better...

...All of my abilities enhanced...

(y/n), focus! You need to rip Luna's goddess right out of her!

Oh, right, that.

I turned to Luna, a devilish smirk on my face.

I then quickly ran up to Luna, and, grabbed her hand.

"No! What are you doing!? Stop!"

I focused on Luna's energy, and, soon, located the source of Luna's power.

The goddess within her.

I then reached in, and, literally ripped it out of Luna.

"NO!"

As I looked around, I saw Sesshomaru shaking his head.

"It seems like the spell that Luna had placed has vanished."

I smiled.

"Good."

"Fool! What have you done to me?! Give me my goddess powers back!"

"Sesshomaru? What do you have to say to this mere mortal?"

"No... It can't be... I'm... A mere mortal?!"

"Well... I must say... What am I going to do with you?" Sesshomaru said, with each step, closing in on Luna.

Luna backed up, until she had reached a wall.

With one swing of his sword, Sesshomaru cut off Luna's head.

"There. Good riddance."

I then brought InuYasha back.

"Is Luna..." InuYasha stopped, once he saw Luna's head rolling near his foot.

I then noticed the world shifting.

Are we... Going back in time?

When I next opened my eyes, I was back in the forest that I was in, before we were shoved into the future.

Was it all a dream?

In my hands, I saw an orb of some sort.

What is this?

This is Luna's power. You may do with it as you wish.

I know exactly what to do.

I walked up to Rin.

"How would you like to live with Sesshomaru, forever?"

Rin's eyes widened.

"How can we trust you?"

I glared at Jaken.

"Shut up."

"You dare say 'Shut up' to the great-"

"Jaken, stop."

"Yes, Lord Sesshomaru..." Jaken said, before retreating.

"Here." I said, while handing Rin the orb.

As soon as the orb touched Rin's hands, it began to glow.

What's going on!?

It seems like Luna's power has accepted Rin. This means that Rin will become the next time goddess, living forever and ever.

Rin then transformed into an older, more mature looking woman. But, she still had her childish, innocent look to her.

When I looked to Sesshomaru... IS HE BLUSHING!?

"I'll leave you to it. Good luck, Rin." I said, before walking up to InuYasha.

"You're truly incredible. You know that, right?"

"I know that. But, do you know that?"

"Of course. After all, I, of all people, fell in love with you."

"True, very true. Well, shall we head back?"

"Sure."

Hand in hand, InuYasha walked back to where everyone was still having their picnic.

"Hey."

"Oh, hello."

Everyone else greeted us, as well.

Does Kagome remember...?

Based on how she's treating us, I assume not.

Not that I'll complain...
