"Caitlin, I think I'm done. When I see Iris, I'm just done with pining over her. I kissed her, before I changed the timeline, and something was wrong. She's, like a sister. I feel so stupid for not realizing it earlier though." Barry says, as we walk to Jitters together from Star Labs.
"Barry, there is literally no way you could've known. You loved her, just in what way, want obvious." I reply, and look at him. I know, it's impossible, but I do know how Barry felt pining over Iris. Since Ronnie, died the first time, I've felt different around Barry. I care about him, and not as a sibling, a friend, or even a doctor.
"Caitlin, do you think Cisco likes you?" Barry asks out of the blue. And I'm shocked.
"Wh- what?! No. He's like my little brother. Anyways, why do you ask?" I'm curious obviously.
As Barry starts talking, I see the first snowflakes start to drift around him, and settle in his light brown hair.
"Well, you see.... Cait, you helped me get over Iris. I felt something, and it was much different than how I felt about Iris." He turns towards me, and clears his throat.
"Caitlin Snow, I think I'm in love with you. I'm sorry, if you don't feel the same way, than just ignore it. Please, I just need you in my life. And I know, with Ronnie so recently, it just might not be the right time. I just care about you, and love you. And when you were hurt, I couldn't bare it. And I didn't know what it was and-." Before I did what I did, Barry's voice started cracking, and speeding up, and he was on the verge of tears. So, I kissed him. And it was beautiful, and sweet. And he was everything. As we finally broke apart, gasping for air, I looked in his beautiful eyes, and his snowflake covered eyelashes.
"Mr. Allen, I believe I'm in love with you too." And I said it, ignoring all the cliches. And his smile, was one I would never forget.
