Tap, tap, tap. I'm continually tapping this same, boring rhythm on the side of my wheelchair. Yeah, I had to. I had to save Wally, but I was paralyzed in the process.
"Hey, Barry!" Caitlin walks into the cortex. I try to reach for her, but almost fall out of my chair. I'm worried about her. She's strong, but Zoom held her, and worse, broke her heart.
"Barry! What are you doing?" I feel the heat rush to my face, the fact that she even cares.
"Thanks, Cait. I'm just, sad. Running, fulfilled me. And now, I can't even walk." I know what tears feel like in my eyes, but I don't want her to see me like this.
"Barry, what if we watch a movie? How 'bout Hairspray?" She suggests.
"Well, Dr. Snow, you have really great taste, in musicals and movies." I didn't realize it, but I've been smiling. Ever since she showed her concern for me.
"Great, Mr. Allen!" She smiles, and rolls my chair next to hers. "Don't tell Cisco, but I have a bunch of movies downloaded onto the computers." She smirks, something I never thought I'd see.

"Hey, Cait, do you know the words to this song?" She seems to be bursting at the seams, as Mama I'm a Big Girl Now comes on. She shakes her head, but that's probably because of what happened that one night. I can't help but laugh a little. So, I start singing on my own.
"Stop, Don't, No! Please!" I start. And she starts laughing too.
"Stop, Don't, No! Please, Caitlin, sing with me?" And from her name, I was talking.
"Okay, ok!" And we begin,
"'Cause Mama I'm a big girl now!" And we bust our laughing, because her singing, is, well because we just had to.
After the song, we ignored the movie, and started talking on our own. Her luscious, brown hair falls into her face, and by instinct, I go to move it behind her ear. She looks at me, with those gorgeous eyes. And I find myself leaning in. She is too.
"Are you guys watching Hairspray Live without me?! C'mo- sorry, looks like I'm interrupting something here." We both look up, and see Cisco walking out eating a Twizzler. He pokes his head back in.
"Everyone decent? Ok good, I'm coming back." He says. And me and Caitlin giggle a little.
We were so close, but even without my legs, I'll keep running after you Dr. Snow.
