You were walking to your fathers house because it was your little sisters birthday. Olivia was turning 7 (BTW IDK her real age so just roll with it) and she was just as excited for her birthday as you were when you were her age. Birthdays were always a big deal to her and she made sure you remembered that fact every year.
Just as a few droplets of rain flooded your senses, you heard a faint voice in the distance.
Olivia: Daddy?
you: Olivia?
Olivia: Where are you? Daddy!, Daddy!
Hearing Olivia in panic, you ran over to the shop and was shocked at what you saw. The shop window was smashed, with shards of glass glittering the goad. Paint was everywhere and all of the toys your father made were broken.
you: Oh my goodness, Olivia are you all right? What happened? you asked, wiping the tears away from Olivia's eyes.
You: Where's farther?
Olivia: S-someone took him. A bat t-took him away in a bag. She answered.
You hated seeing your little sister cry. Even when she was a baby you would do anything in your power to make her happy again. For now, all you could think to do was wrap her in a hug.
Olivia: What will we do now?
After a second of thinking, you looked at her with a smile and kissed her head.
You: We, little miss, are going to go find someone to help us get our father back. you said gliding over to the coatstand and collecting Olivias: Hat, Scarf and coat.
You: Get these on, its cold outside.
( A few hours later)
After a while of walking, you realised that you and Olivia had become a bit lost. The streets of London were strange enough to humans nevermind mice.
Across the road, you saw another mouse across the road.
It was a man, quite short with a large body. A brown moustache and had a bag in one hand and an umbrella in the other.
you: excuse me, sir? you asked crossing the road with Olivia close behind.
You: Can you help us?
The stranger turned to you with kind eyes.
Stranger: I'll certainly try my dear.
You: Thank you. We're looking for Basil of Bakerstreet. you said passing him a piece of newspaper.
Olivia: We got a bit lost.
Stranger: Now let me see here "FAMOUS DETECTIVE SOLVES BAFFLING DISAPPEARANCE". The stranger answered.
Stranger: I'm sorry I don't know any Basil...but I do know where Baker street is. I'm heading that way myself, you're welcome to come with me if you wish.
You: Are you sure? We'd hate to impose.
Stranger: No, no you're most welcome.
You smiled at him and took Olivia's small hand in yours.
you: Oh thank you so much Mr...?
Dawson: Dr David Q Dawson and it's my pleasure, Mrs...?
you: Flaversham, Miss Flaversham and this is my little sister Olivia.
