Back to Baker street

Basil: This case is most interesting its many twists and turns. Now your shore you've told you've everything the sly test detail could be important. he said looking at both you and Olivia.

You: yes

Olivia: It's just as I said, and then our father was gone.

Dawson: What do you make of it?

Basil walked from place to place around the room puffing on his pipe. You could practically see the cogs turning in his head.

Suddenly Olivia let out a huge scream. Running over to you she pointed at the window.

Basil: Quickly Dawson not a moment to lose. he said running out of the door.

You passed Olivia to Dawson and ran after Basil.

You: No sign of the bat anywhere. you said breathlessly.

Basil looked at you in shock as if to say "what are you doing here?". A second later he saw some footprints.

Basil: Not quite, miss Flaversham, he left some rather unusual footprints. They obviously belong to the same bat that abducted your father. Rattigan's peg-legged lackey.

Looking down the path(Sidewalk) you picked up a flat, black hat and picked it up.

you: Mr Basil? would this be any help?

Basil snatched the hat out if your hands and pulled out his magnifying glass.

Basil: Excellent work Miss Flaversham!

He ran inside and grabbed his coat.

Basil: Now hurry along Dawson, we must be off to Toby's.

Dawson: Toby's?

Basil: Oh you must meet him he's just the chap for this.

You closed the door behind you as you walked back inside.

Dawson: And you want me to come? I am rather curious.

Olivia: Wait for me I'm coming too! she said running past you.

Before she grabbed her coat you stopped her.

you: Oh no you don't, little miss, you're staying here where it's safe.

Olivia: But I want to help!

With a sigh, you knelt down to her level and looked at her.

You: Olivia, listen to me ok? I lost Mother and our Father is missing I can't lose you too. If you want to help, please stay here with Mrs Judson while I go with Mr Basil.

Hearing this, Basil had to but in on your convocation.

Basil: What? definitely not this is no place for a lady. He said in a tone you didn't like in the slightest.

you walked up to the mouse with clenched fists and an annoyed look. He was easily an inch or two taller than you.

You: Excuse me? If it wasn't for this lady, you would probably be still looking for that bullet or still thinking about why Rattigan took our father in the first place so I'm sorry Mr Basil but I'm coming with you whether you like it or not.

Basil: Miss Flaversham I don't think you understand it will be quite dangerous.

You: Well one of us is going so you choose Mr Basil. A little girl you have to keep constant watch over or a grown woman who Is fully capable of taking care of herself AND can actually help you with this case. You said smugly holding up his pipe for him to take.

You: Up to you.

He scanned you for a second before he slowly went to talk the pipe from you.

Basil: Mrs Judson. Dawson, Miss Flaversham and I will be going out. Please attend to the little one. He said eyes still on you as he talked.
