Chapter 2: First Encounter

Chapter 2: First Encounter

Everyone were almost seated by the time I reached my class. I don't know why I was so much frightened. I was not like this, infact I am a confident and bold girl but since the morning that confident and bold Katie was lost somewhere and coward Katie had overcome her. I gathered my courage and entered the class. As soon as I stepped in I heard a girl saying

"Look who is here, a poor little baby and ohh look she seems so frightened."

Everyone stared at me and the class echoed with laughter. Each and every person sitting in the class was laughing and staring me. Tears welled up my eyes as I wiped them with the sleeve of my shirt. I moved to the seat at the corner of the class when suddenly I felt a push and I was about to fall ground when someone held me from my waist. I saw a muscular man holding me in his arms. I could feel his tough and smooth hands around my waist. He had shiny black hair all messed up but in a cute hairstyle. His deep blue mesmerizing eyes pierced my soul and his sharp jawline and a fair complexion was adding more charm to his personality. I could feel the heat of his body as he helped me in standing again.

"Are you okay " He asked humbly.

I was so lost wondering that how can someone be so good looking that I didn't hear what he said. He brought me back from my imaginary world by putting his hand on my shoulder.

"O yeah I am perfectly alright. Thanks. You saved me from falling down." I said with a wide grin on my face even without knowing it.

He chuckled : "Well, It was my pleasure."

He passed by me as I saw him going towards the person who pushed me. "Watch out, David." He said grinding his teeth and giving him an intimidating look. I could see that David went pale and said hesitatingly "I am sorry Daniel. I didn't mean to push her. It was a mistake I .... "

"Its okay dude. Next time be careful." He said cutting his words.

I was still in a trance in which that handsome guy left me that I didn't even realize that I was still staring him. He had such an impressive personality ... his looks, the way he talked, everything about him was incredible. I have seen many guys in my life but he was different from all of them.

Jessica told me later that day that the guy who saved me from falling was the Head boy of our school, Daniel James Watson. He was a famous guy of the school both among the students and teachers as well. I told Jessica what happened when I entered the class and how he saved me from embarrassment. She suggested me to thank him personally. She also wanted to introduce me to Daniel as he was Jessica's good friend so she thought it to be right time after what had happened.

During the recess time, Jessica took me with her to meet Daniel.

"Hey Daniel!" She called out to him while he was busy arguing with some junior boys. He turned around and waved to Jessica. As we approached him he told the boys that he will deal with them later.

"I can't understand why are you so concerned about the discipline of this school Dan!!" Jessica said rolling her eyes : "You know you can't handle all the problems on your own. So stop acting like you are doing so. " She said teasingly.

"Ahhaaa !! Look who is talking. "

Daniel said nudging her ribs with his elbow.

"Ahhh ... well cut it off. I want you to meet someone. " She said holding my hand.

"And is she that pretty lady? " Daniel said while smiling at me.

"Yes .. She is Katie Bones. She just joined the school and today is her first day here" Jessica said.

"I think I have seen her somewhere. " He said trying to recall his memory.

"Yes you met her in the morning , stupid. " Jessica said giggling.

"O yeah! Now I remember. She is the one whom I saved from falling today? Right? " Daniel said with a cute expression on his face like a kid succeeds in recalling his memory.

"Yes she is that girl. " Jessica said.

"Hello pretty lady! I am Daniel Watson. " He said raising his hands towards me and standing erectly like a gentleman.

"And I I .... I am Katie." I stammered a bit as I lifted my hand to shake his.

Okay so what do you people think about the very first meeting of Katie and Daniel? Will they make good friends? What will happen next?
