Chapter 7:Friendship

As soon as I reached my home I looked for Emily to answer my numerous questions that were bugging me from a very long time after that wires encounter with Daniel.

"Emily!  Emily! " I screamed.

"Yes yes. . I am here what happened Kat? " She said casually

Although she was 7 years younger than me but she called me with my name which sometimes annoyed me. "Can you explain what is this gift for? " I asked purely in rage.

"How am I supposed to know that Kat ? You are holding it duh!" She let out a sarcastic laugh.

"Stop fooling me and tell me straight away what do you have to do with Daniel? " She froze for a moment after hearing his name and then a huge smile crawled to her lips.

"OMG finally its here give it to me " She snatched it from my  hands.

She started to pull off the wrapping cover .

"care to explain what is this! "

She didn’t say a word instead kept on unwrapping the gift.

I tapped my feet in order to make my presence known. She final told me that how she met Daniel while she was waiting for me  and he promised her to give her chocolates . 

"And you agreed to take the chocolates as a gift from a complete stranger?" I said in utter disbelief. 

"No Kat! He is your friend. I know that" She tried to clarfy. 

"And how do you know that? As far as I remember I didn't mention him to you." I said completely annoyed at her carefree attitude. "And oh stop calling me Kat Okay?"

"Kat Kat Kat!" She started singing my name now. "Why are you do furious? I will share these chocolates with you, I promise" She assured me.

"Its not about sharing the chocolate or not. Its about your attitude. Mom always taught you not to take anything from strangers isn't it? Then why you even talked to him? Thats the only thing which infuriating me." I explained it to her like a mother is trying to teach something to her child.

She frowned a little and said: "Well! I do remember what Mom taught me and I am really sorry for disappointing you. Next time I will take care for sure but but don't ask me to return these puleeeezz.." She said with a puppy dog face and holding up the chocolates in her hands. 

I smiled at her expressions "Ohh Em You are soo cute and you always use this weapon of yours to make listen to you." 

"Yaaayy thank you so much Katie. I love you" She started jumping in excitement and I just smiled at her childish behaviour and thanked Daniel in my heart for making her happy.

     Days passed and soon it was the end of my freshmen year. We were referred to as P5 in our school now; Jessica, Clair,  Emily,  Sarah and I . We used to do girls’ stuff alot; gossiping,  shopping,  being the highlight of every class; and yes being not so favourite of every teacher but this doesn't mean that we weren't good in studies.  We used to obtain really good grades but still due our constant talking during the class and mimickering teachers made us notorious around the school. Claire being an exception of being notorious ofcourse as she never disturbed any teacher.

It was the last day of my freshmen year. I was searching by English book in my locker. I was already late for my class and Mr. Andrew being him would definitely give me detention if I didn't reach on time. Finally, I found my book and in a great hurry so rushed towards my class and didn't realized where I was going until my head bumped into something hard. I looked up and there he was standing, giving a mischivieous smile.

"Daniel! " I acknowledged rolling my eyes.

My friendship with Daniel turned into more like a brother-sister one. We used to fight on small things,  argueing till the point  at which one kills the other, listening to each other’a problems, warning one another that we won’t be talking again and on the same day begging for forgiveness not because we were sorry or something but because we didn't had anyone else to listen to our stupid stories. We were kind of addicted to each other. Just a simple hello per day was enough for us to spend the rest of the day. Daniel was becoming my bestie. At the end we were us; Katie and Daniel.
