It was around three in the afternoon and a light breeze had come in through the windows. I was surprised by the light breeze coming in because there wasn't really one that happened during today.
No Name and the other guys were off somewhere. That meant that I had this whole house to myself. Now I could be off dancing around and blaring music, but I would rather be in my room in case some of the guys come back early and catch me. That didn't last long. I had gone downstairs to turn some music on because why not? If anyone was going to have fun, it was going to be me with my sunburn.
I had on some random white shirt No Name had in his dresser and a pair of black shorts I had in my bag. I even put on socks because the floor felt cold. The air really needed to be on, but why put the air on when there's a breeze coming through the windows? Daniel would have been upset if I had the windows opened. He didn't like them open. I had no idea why. It's not like there was any sound going to be made.
I went over to the bar they had in the living room. Let me tell you this: These guys were smart. They had built in all of these secret compartments throughout the house filled with things. I was hoping to find out what this gang did but I didn't find anything. I looked at all of their liquor bottles. Tons and tons of bottles. Did these guys drink every day?
"What in the world are you doing?" I turned around. No Name stood there with flowers and a small bag in his hand. He had on that stupid leather jacket. But this time it looked different. It looked like it was brand new. Did he throw away his old one? I was just starting to get used to it.
"What?"
"Drinking without your boyfriend. Ouch, my stone cold heart." He walked a little closer to me. He smelled like a mixture of Abercrombie and Fitch cologne and cigarettes. Daniel never wore cologne. If he did, he was trying to cover up the smell of alcohol he had on his body from the night before.
"Are the roses for me?"
"Yes, but don't hate me. Your mom called me in for a second time and I asked her what your favorite flowers were. She asked why and I said that I kind of made you mad. Or so I thought I did. You did ignore me when I left."
"I wasn't mad at you. I was just talking with Sawyer and something inside of me made me mad. Thank you so much and I'm not mad. My mom may actually like you instead of Daniel. Daniel would never have gone to my parents to ask things about me. You are a great guy, No Name." I hugged him. That just meant that his smell would soon be on me. I grabbed the roses and smelled them. They smelled amazing.
"Yeah, no problem. I didn't know your favorite type of flowers and I just wanted to make you happy. Oh, I also ran to the store for you. I got you a new phone. Everyone who lives here gets a new one and I thought I would do it myself. I also got your favorite movie. That Ten Things I hate About You movie?"
"No freaking way! Are you serious? You actually got me my favorite movie? Even after you looked like you didn't like it? And the phone wasn't necessary. I could have gotten that myself. But thank you so much for the all of the gifts. I could just kiss you right now!" I put my hand over my mouth. He looked at me with wide eyes. We had only been faking this relationship since yesterday and I guess I was kind of falling for him. But I couldn't.
"You know, I can't tell if you're serious. But if you did kiss me, I wouldn't be mad." That sentence replayed in my head for what seemed like forever. If I kissed him, something would be going on between us. If I did kiss him, Delilah would surely find out. She always found out everything. I made her promise and that also stuck with me. I couldn't break it.
"At least buy me dinner first."
"Tonight at eight."
"What?"
