Chapter 3

Tanner spent the rest of flight worried about the woman next to him, so much so he had trouble focusing on his own issue. He's going to prove that CSW firm had stolen the plans. It wasn't like they were just going to hand over the information willingly. He hoped fate would intervene and do him a solid.

Cora was still snoring softly beside him as the plane made its decent and then landed with a hard thud on the tarmac. He pulled out his phone and turned it on . finding two missed calls and text from his brother. His brother is the last person he want to deal with right now. After all this whole mess was indisputable Noah's fault and his answer seemed to be just like that. Tanner shoved the phone back to his pocket.

He turned to the sleeping woman in the next seat. "Cora"
She didn't stir.
"Cora" he said louder giving her arm a little shake.

She roused but her eyes still squeezed shut. "Leave me alone!"

"Cora" he jolted her harder this time. "Naglanding na ang eroplano. Gumising ka na baba na tayo."

"I'm tired" she murmured

"Matulog ka na lang mamaya pag kauwi mo sa bahay ng magulang mo" but he knew she couldn't. Her mother picking her up which mean she wouldn't get to sleep quite some time. She'd be busy explaining why her fiancee was no -show.
How was she going to face her mother in this condition. Poor girl.

She still hadn't aroused by the time the plane pulled up to the gate. The first class passenger starting preparing to leave this plane. Tanner waved Ali over, and she shoved the passenger out of the way in her hurry to reach him.

He motioned to Cora "Kailangan nya ng tulong sa pagbaba ng eroplano. "

Ali shot Cora a snotty look and rolled her eyes. "Sure. Tatawag ako ng security to take care the problem. "
"Security? She need help to get off. her mother is out there waiting for her"

Ali gave him a stern look but he saw a flash of vindictiveness in her eyes. " We take public intoxication very seriously Mr. Mata"

"She's not drunk she had a drug interaction with the alcohol she drank"

Tumaas ang kilay nya. " so she takes drugs too. ? Then she's a sloppy drunk"

"I told you she not ----"

"Not to worry " she patted Tanner's arm. " you're so sweet to feel responsible but maari na po kayo bumaba at makalabas ng airport. Ako na po ang bahala. We 'll take care of her"

Still Tanner worried how she take care this woman next to him. Hindi nya pa lubusan kilala ang babae but for some reason he did feel responsible for her. "That's not necessary. I'll help her off."

"Sorry. You're not traveling together and we can't let unconscious woman leave with a stranger. Imagine the liability the airline would face." As she shook her. her mouth twisting into mock sympathetic pout.

"If nagising sya at sinabi nya gusto nya bumaba sa eroplano na ito kasama ko papayag ka na ba?"
She smug grin "Of course" the she returned to the front of the plane.

The cabin door open and passenger starting to get up and walk away but he just couldn't do it.

"Cora wake up", he shook her arms more vigorously. The passenger exiting from the back watched the scene with morbid curiosity. " The almost future Mrs. Mata is going to call security unless you get up and walk off this plane. "
