Angel Friends - 3rd Season

Episode 5 - Pride Game Part 1

Urie

     Cabiria and I were outside the challenge room, waiting for it to decide what challenge should we take. "You still have time to back of, Cabiria!"

"I don't think so, Urie! The challenge has already decided on what should we do" Cabiria said

     I looked at the screen outside of the challenge room, and says PRIDE GAME. Just in time, the door opened and Cabiria and I flew inside, and stand in the center and a few seconds later the challenge room changed itself to a more deserted place.

     The room is in complete darkness and I can't move to the point I can't feel my own body. I try too look around, but my eyes failed me to get used in the darkness, and so I called my mascot "Lightning!" Immediately, Lightning pop out from the flower of my skirt "Give me some light" Lightning buzzed and he showed light, and that's when I saw Cabiria. Tied in the chair.

"Cabiria, are you alright?!" I asked worriedly

"Well, as you can see I'm all tied up"

     And just like it was the right moment, a ray of light appeared on top of us. It made a circle shape around us and letter or words were floating in front of us.

WELCOME! TO THE CHALLENGE CALLED
"PRIDE GAME"
Your goal is to solve the problem we're to give you, and the one who gets it may take the first move, but be beware. You cannot use guesses in this game, you can only say your answer ONCE! But you can't take your time, you only have five minutes to answer this problem, and if one of you failed, the winner will take the first move.

     The letters disappeared one by one and Cabiria hesitantly brags, and as all the letters disappeared, another set of words comes out.

PROBLEM:

A man was ready to retired and decided to give his company to the right person, so he decided to call the best men in his company and gives all five of them, a piece of a seed. The man ordered them to take good care of it, and whoever has a beautiful after a month, then the company is his. Then, a month passed all five of them returned to the man with four men holding a pot of beautiful plants, but, sadly, the other one has an empty pot yet the Man happily decided to give the company to him. What made the Man made his choice?

     The words stayed at the center, and after the last letter was shown, the timer takes it start. Cabiria and I went silent, and I really can't move with the rope tied to me, and so I decided to imagine what happened. I imagine what every man from those five did, and as I think, the timer is beginning to set its pace Think! Urie! Think! The timer is on two minutes, and I haven't got the answer and as I imagined once again ,Cabiria shouted and said "Because he chose the man with the empty pot from the beginning" With that, her light turned into red and a voice said "WRONG!" and now the timer that was in less than two minutes became thirty seconds, and its counting down fast. With ten seconds left, I said my answer immediately "From the start the seed is dead, and the man knows it from the beginning, and so he decided to give the company to the man with an empty pot, because he's honest"

     The timer stopped at zero, and I thought that I was wrong, but the light on top of me turned green and a voice said "CORRECT!". The dark room disappeared and the room went back to its true challenge room.

"I did it! I won the challenge!" I said happily!

"You better use it wise, Angel!" Cabiria sarcastically said.

     I went and follow Lindsey to the park where she usually spents her time to think and find inspiration for her painting. She seats at the park bench below me and heard her thoughts.

Lindsey

     What should I do? If Rachel joins the competition, I wouldn't be known as a great artist from Golden School, but if Rachel competes with me there's a high chance that the Golden School could win.

Urie

     Now that I've completely heard Lindsey's thoughts, I called my mascot Lightning and he appeared in front of me and dare I say "Lightning! Activate Metamorphosis!"

     I've taken the role as an editor, dressed in a business suit in a colored fusia and I act that I was reading letters but then I stumbled in front of Lindsey and the letters scattered

"Oh my gosh! Are you okay, Miss?" Lindsey said as she offers me a hand to stand up and helps me pick up the letters

"Yes, thank you. You see I was reading this fan letters from the author I'm assigned for"

"But isn't the letters for the author themselves? Why are you reading that is something from them?"

"Well, yes its true it is for the author, but the author didn't do it be herself, we editors helped too, and that's why many authors are successful because they cooperate with their partners"

"I see" Lindsey nods but looked down and heard her thoughts.

"She's right. If Rachel and I worked together there's a high chance people would appreciate the students from the Golden School."

     I smiled and thought that she gets it "Well, I gotta go now. I still have work to do". I wave her a goodbye and find a place to get back as an Angel.

     Back in my Angel form, Cabiria is flying beside me as we looked at Lindsey walking home and heard her thoughts

"I think having Rachel compete with me would be a wonderful idea"

"See, Lindsey took my word" I said as I look serious in front of Cabiria

"Don't be all happy Urie, I still have chance to change her mind" Cabiria warns as she flew away.

Behind the trees, Blu is watchimg them again with a more serious look "Yes, don't be all happy because I'm the one who will change your terrestrials mind"
