Episode 8 - Chances are...

Kabale

     I directly flew to Riley, as I saw him walking back to his home, head down just walking straight hearing his thoughts.

     " Now what should I do? Tomorrow is a big game, and it is my Mom's birthday and I never miss out her birthdays. "

     Don't worry, Riley. Opportunities like this shouldn't get away. I thought.

     I directly called on my mascot, Nosferatu and chant on the spell and transform into a publicist. In a white polo and pencil skirt. I looked at Riley, who is heading this way and prentended to pass over him.

     "Excuse me!" I called just the time Riley turn his head to me

     "Yes?"

     "Are you perhaps, Riley Falcon?"

     Riley nod "I am. What about it?"

     "My name is Kabale Haste, and I saw you training this afternoon and couldn't help but admire you. I gotta say you've got potential"

     He smiled "You really think so?"

     I nod "Yes! Did I also mention that Kyle Joe is looking for amateur basketball players who wants to be a professional someday? He would be glad to mentor the likes of you"

     "Did you just say Kyle Joe?! The KYLE JOE! The basketball player with straight championships and high scores?" Riley said with an amazed look on his face

     I grin. "Yes. The actual Kyle Joe" I took out a card with a pretended number from my purse and wrote the date and time of the place for tomorrow and give it to him "Here, you really do have potential you know. Kyle and I will be waiting"

    I give him a wink and walk staright on never minding what Riley is going to say. Beat that, you little Angel!

Riley

    I waved goodbye to Kabale and looked at the card and picture my wildest dreams. Playing in the internationals, and getting to play with Kyle Joe, let alone being mentored by him! Maybe, tomorrow is my chance to get my dreams come into reality. I'm sure Mom won't mind that.

     I started walking, my head in the clouds, picturing the day I've always wanted coming at last, but my thought stop me as I come across a lady with pink hair in a varsity shirt and shorts playing basketball by the court and amazed by speed and her three point shot, which I hardly see in the girls here.

     She was all smiles and cheerful, as she happily slap some high five with the other girls she's playing with. Standing still, our eyes met, and gave me a wave and I wave back. Noticing that she runs coming forward to me.

     "Hi!" She said

     "Hi" I said back

     "I'm Sweet. Nice to meet you" she smiled

    "Yes, me too. I'm-" before I finish my sentence, she jumped in

     "Oh, I know you! You're Riley Falcon. I saw you once played in the regionals at Sunny Bay"

     "Really? Thanks! Great, three point shot by the way"

    She smiled once again "Thank you!" All of a sudden we heard her name getting called, "Oh! That's probably my Mom. You know, she's the reason why I enjoy playing basketball, she's the best supporter I could ever wish for. Without her, I won't be here today"

     Her words struck into my head and went through my heart. Like it was the only last detail I need to complete what I needed to do, and what came after next is the image of my Mom. Starting from when I was a child, both of us doing something fun.

     "I better go now. See you!" With that Sweet came running away from me and when I looked back she was gone, but I never minded that. I look back at the card the lady gave me earlier. It is such a a great oppurtunity, but making my Mom the happiest in the world is enough for me. I give it one last look and broke it into pieces and throw it in the trash. The only thing in my mind is what I'm going to do for Mom.

Sweet

     The next day, Riley surprised both Kabale and I. He was on basketball practice, getting ready for the play later on and on the bleachers was his Mom. All smiles and heads up cheering for her son.

     "This is the first time I saw this happened"

     "He took my advice, and yours?! How could that be? Is it even possible for a terrestrial to take an advice from both devil and angel?"

     Kabale and I look at each other, thinking that is it even possible? But, for a moment we didn't care as long as Riley is in path he wanted.

Reina

     Kabale and Sweet's faces are projected on the screens, confused, doubting their partner, is all I wanted to see.

     "You all better wait for what I intended to do!" I turn my head to my right and saw Sulfus and Raf in their sacriligeous kiss in the screen  "And I'll take revenge on you both first!" With fierce and revenge in my eyes, I burst out a laugh, in which I'm sure this time will prevail!
