10. Rainy day
Based on the weather I see from where I sit - hope you enjoy. x
Harry: You sit with your head in your hands, staring out the window. Your boyfriend Harry is beside you working on the daily crossword puzzle. “What’s wrong?” he asks without looking up as he etches in another solution. “Nothing. Just bored.” He puts down his pencil and turns to you. “Hmm.” He follows your line of vision outside to where the rain is pouring down, and a smile creeps across his face. “Come on,” he replied, grabbing your hand and leading you towards the door. “Where are we going?” you ask, giggling. He opens the door and you both run outside. Harry grabs your hands and twirls you around while sticking his tongue out to catch rain drops. He slips on some mud and falls, dragging you down with him. Mid-laugh, Harry leans down to kiss you. “Not so bored now, are you?”
Liam: “Alright, babe,” Liam says as he spins the arrow on the game. “Left hand red.” You contort your body to wrap under his abdomen, placing your hand on the red dot. The lights in your apartment went out an hour ago, so you’ve decided to play Twister in an attempt to pass the time. Leaning down, you try to spin the arrow, but instead you put too much of your weight on Liam and he comes toppling down. “Oh no,” he says, “If I’m going down, then you’re coming with me!” He grabs your waist and pulls you so that you’re laying on top of him, the room erupting in fits of laughter.
Louis: As you and your boyfriend Louis were leaving the football bleachers where you ate lunch together each day, it began to pour down rain. With nowhere else to go, you took shelter underneath the bleachers. It was cold and fairly dark there, but Louis wraps his arm around your middle and hold you close so that you feel his stubble on your neck. Ruffling his hair a bit, you place small kisses on his temple and eyelids as you silently listen to the drops of rain hit the metal bleachers above you. Once it subsides quite a bit and the sun comes out, you hear his voice in your ear. “Damn, I wanted to stay here with you a bit longer. But at least we know a new hiding spot, eh?”
Niall: “Ugh, I hate this weather,” Niall replied as he runs a hand through his hair and flops on the couch beside you. “Me too. It’s always so depressing, the grey skies and now being able to go outside and do anything.” He glances at you and smiles. “How about we stay in then? We can order some Chinese food and have a big movie marathon.” You nod your head and look back at him. “I think that’s the best idea you’ve ever had, Mister Horan.” He laughs and stands up, walking towards the rack where all the DVDs are kept. “Are ya feelin comedy?” “Always,” you reply. Pulling out three different DVDs - Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Knocked Up, and Animal House, he hands them to you. “Pick one.” You scrunch up your face and finally say, “How about all of them?” Laughing, Niall grabs them back from you. “That works for me, babe.”
Zayn: Rainy days are always your and Zayn’s favorites. It’s an excuse to stay inside and just have a day to yourselves without having to worry about entertaining others. You always either stay in bed listening to the rain hit your ceiling or find some other quiet activity. Today, it’s reading. You’re immersed in getting through the Divergent series before the film comes out and he’s also in the middle of re-reading the Harry Potter series for the millionth time. You lean your head on his shoulder and turn the page of your book as he pets your arm with one hand and balances The Order of the Phoenix with the other. Neither of you speak until the natural light bleeding into the room diminishes and you both have to stop reading.
