Justin POV: (Wednesday)
Crystal has been doing well she hasn't been to school since Monday and she has 3 more days she can take off. I keep trying to cheer her up and I wish I could make her happy all the time. I'm heading over there tonight we're gonna take her out to a smoothie shop and talk for a while.
I'm almost done with practice and she's probably eating the chocolate I got her and watching "the walking dead" she's asked me to watch it with her but I'm not the biggest zombie fan
*30 mins later*
I'm on my last set of the day it's a 2x200 on the way down its stroke and on the way back it's freestyle. I finish it up and do a 100 cool down for my muscles and get out. I hurry up into the locker room and get dressed in nicer clothes that I brought. I find a mirror and run my fingers through my hair and fix it a little. I check for my wallet and see I have enough for her to get anything she wants. And I walk out heading to her house. "Good luck soldier" I here one of the guys yell as I walk out. "Thanks man." We're like family.
As soon as I get their I debate texting her or knocking on the door. I feel a little panic but I walk up to the door and knock. I hear some foot steps then the door opens.
"Hello Justin what are you doing here." Her mother says.
"Oh hello ma'am I wanted to take Crystal on another little date to help cheer her up."
"Oh okay Justin that's very sweet you can come sit and have a snack while she gets ready. Oh and before I forget call me Mary."
"Oh that would be great. Uh Mary." I said I was starting to feel a little shaky hopefully I can see Crystal soon.
Soon enough Crystal came down the stairs in sweat pants and a sweatshirt slightly wet on the bottom of the sleeves and dirt on the bottom of her pants from Monday. She walks over to me and hugs me quickly starting to cry. I rub her back and hold her tight. "Hey, can I take you out to cheer you up." I here her cry a little harder as I feel my heart break a little more. She begins to sniffle and pull her head back. She looks up at me and I can see her beautiful eyes looking at me with a deep sadness. "Where can we go that doesn't remind me of.... r..." I here her start her name and she begins to cry again. Tucking her head back into my chest.
"We can go to the smoothie shop orrr go on that swimming date I was talking about Monday?" I hear her perk up and sniffle a little. "Can we do both?"she asks. "Sure do you need to grab anything?" I ask as I rub her back a little. She nods her head and walks over to her mom. Whispers something I can't quite here because of the water in my ear. I shake it out not knowing it's their. She run upstairs and her mom goes back to the kitchen. I stand awkwardly until her mother comes out with a snack for us to bring. "Thank you Mary"
"No Justin thank you for bringing my little girl a smile whenever you can." She says then she walks away.
Chris comes down within 5 mins and has a small bag for her suit thats what I assume it's for. We say out goodbyes to Mary and start towards the pool I just left.
"Hey Chris?"
"Yeah Justin?" She responds
"Umm I wanted to say something to you for a while now and i don't know if it's a bad time cause if what's going on but.." I ramble
"Yeah? She said looking a little confused, a little excited, And deep down a little sad.
" I... Love... You.." I said stuttering a little a look up and she's smiling at me.
"Justin I love you too." She says with the biggest smile on her face. For a moment I thought the sadness was gone.
"C... can I kiss you?" I ask not even knowing I really wanted to. I didn't even think I thought about kissing her yet. I am still looking at her as she begins to blush and shake her head slightly yes. I grabbed her waist and leaned down to kiss her. As soon as my lips met hers I swear I seen fireworks behind my eye lids. Her lips were soft and warm and gave me goosebumps when I thought about it. I was star stuck and from what she felt like she was too. She relaxed and pulled away. That kiss felt like hours but was probably a few seconds. I smiled at her and she smiled at me.
"You just made my day." She said
"Whys that?" I ask a little confused
"Your my first kiss and I don't think I've ever felt more fireworks." She smiled
I smiled and looked at her and honestly all I could think about we're her lips. We continued walking to the pool...
