Sans stared on a lake in front of him in confusion.he wondered,was she a mortal that was imMORTAL?( ;3 ) But how?Even Toriel,Goddess of Life,would be dead by him buthe didn't have any intention to reap her.

He stared at his reflection on the lake.He remembered on how the mortal's (e/c) eyes stared at his eyesockets.However,the way she stared at him,filled with...

EMPTINESS.

She didn't even scared or run away from him,when he stood in front if her,ready to take her soul.

The most shocking for him was the words that she said,when he fail to take her soul.

"why can't i feel the DEATH..?"

Her blurry (e/c) stared at him in REGRET and DESPAIR as the tears fell from her (s/c) cheeks. The Goddess of Life decided to take care of the mortal,scared that he might attempting to kill her again.

To be honest, he didn't even mad that he can't kill her. He pondered on why he relieved that the mortal was still alive? Was he relieve because she was the first mortal, in many of them, that still alive from his duty?

He heard some noises from the bushes nearby him.He turned around and saw someone came out from the bush. His eyesockets widen in shock upon seeing the person.

"Human, what are you doing at here?"

He asked, still looking at the human in shock.The human just stared at him with her blurry (e/c) orbs.She pushed the bushes aside, walked towards him and stopped in front of him,still staring at him.

She raised her hand,reached to Reaper's face but stopped halfway. She walked pass him and sat nearby the river. Reaper turned his head aside, ponder on why she stopped her action. He stared at her form that was looking at the sunset. He thought for a while that he should leave the place.However,he decided to stay.

He walked towards her place and sat beside her.Both of them didn't say anything.They only stared at the sunset in silence for a few moment. He took a glance at her,looking at her face. She stared at the sunset with a blank look. It's hard to tell on what she was thinking.

"So kiddo. What are you doing at here? Toriel will be worried 'bout you. "he broke the silence. She didn't respond his answer. He felt so awkward with the situation because she didn't reply .

"Am I worthy to stay with Goddess of Life, even though I can't die and still alive?"her answer made Sans widen his eyesockets a bit. "Her job is to make things alive right? She don't need someone like me to give a life"she stared at her own reflection on the water." If I have been murdered or killed by someone, I'm still alive though, no many how many times they try. "

"whoa kid. You must be really having a rough time huh?" Sans made a joke to brushed off the awkward moment. The mortal looked at his eyesockets as she looked through his soul.

" Yes,i really having a rough time...."she looked back at her own reflection on he river" I have seen a lot of terrifying things in the world. My mother ditched me somewhere i didn't familiar with, running away from people that want to sell me for prostitution or want to having a 'fun' time with me, people killed right in front of my eyes. That's how rough my life is"  she stared on her own reflection. Sadness drew on her (s/c).face as she remember back on what happened to her before

Sans at the other side was speechless with her story. He was only joking but it triggered her so much. "Umm...sorry kid. Didn't mean t hurt your feeling"he scratched his skull as he laughed nervously. He felt something hugging him all of sudden. He lowered his skull and saw the mortal hugging him with her face buried on his rib cage. Sans blushed by her sudden behavior but disappeared when he heared her sobs on his chest. His hands slowly reached her back but hesitant a bit, thought if he really want to do his action.

Slowly, he hugged her back and reassure her by rubbing her back. She flinched a bit by his touch on her back that soothing her. The two of them just sat at there as the sunset slowly disappeared from their view.
