Chapter 19

Chapter Nineteen

We all sat around in the living room, waiting for Carlisle to begin.

“We know now that Aro is aware of Bella’s presence. I do not believe that he has the power to harm her in any way, but for safe measure we should discuss the matter.”

“So – we fight then, right?” Emmett replied, eager for action as always.

“Son, there may not be a need for that we hope. When our friends arrive, we may discuss it further, but for now as a family, I want no one leaving here alone. For now I would like everyone to stay here as much as possible.” Carlisle stated.

“Hey wait, we have Alice and Bella now, they see everything, so why should we worry?” was Emmett’s reply, still looking for a fight.

“Yes Emmett, they are both exceptional with that gift, but still – precautionary measures should be taken.

“Besides Emmett: don’t forget who we are discussing…Aro.” Rosalie said sarcastically.

“Our friends will be here in a few hours and we need to have something put together before they arrive.” Carlisle in deep thought.

“Yes Carlisle, but what exactly?” Jasper countered; he was as unsure about the situation as everyone else – experience in a fight was not everything.

“They know more about this then I do, I am sure they will come up with something. Is there anything more to be seen at this moment?” asked Carlisle Alice and Bella.

“I am sorry Carlisle, but I see nothing else at this time.” Alice replied.

“And you Bella?” he asked again.

Bella didn’t reply and everyone turned to her to see why,

“Love – are you alright?” Edward asked worried.

Bella’s face was now …empty; no one knew what was happening. Everyone began to get nervous that maybe they would get frozen again.

The worried faces became ignited with the thought that maybe she was seeing something that was not good. Then Bella blinked her eyes and began to speak.

“I didn’t see anything coming to me and when I thought about the last time I could take myself somewhere, like the meadow, I thought maybe I could try it now.”

“And…?” they all asked in unison.

“They are planning to come when they have enough powers to back them up, just in case I have been changed.”

“Do you have any details?” Carlisle asked urgently.

“Um, he is bringing a girl named Jane and a boy named Alec so far.” Everyone gasped at the names, although they knew already that they would be the first two coming with Aro.

“Love, are you telling me that you put yourself THERE, as in Volturi? It isn’t possible, could it? How could you possibly take yourself somewhere that you’ve never been before?” Edward asked anticipated.

“Well yes, I did, but I have no idea how I knew how to get there. Maybe…I’m somehow…connected to someone there. I don’t know how I did it, but it was really easy. I just placed myself wherever Aro would be because I remember him from my dreams.” Bella countered. Then a yawn bellowed out of Bella while she stretched.

Edward replied quickly to her own words that she didn’t quite catch, “Bella that is how you did it. You attached yourself to the image you remembered and it took you right to him in your mind. This is very interesting…” he kept on, but everyone else was gasping in Bella’s direction when she began to yawn. When she realized that all eyes were on her she asked why they were doing it.
