Morgans POV

"Morgan, I don't feel so good," Caitlin groaned.

"I know. It can't be long now until we find a cabin or shack or something. Just hang on, and then soon you can rest up a bit," I replied, hearing Caitlin respond with a weak 'OK'.

Its been about 3 years -maybe- since the apocalypse has started. It was always my family, Caitlin's family, Caitlin, and I. Until there was just my family, Caitlin, and I. And then Caitlin and I. We've both lost so much, it's surprising that we have both managed to survive this long.

Bingo! As Caitlin and I are walking through the woods, I see a small log cabin to my right. The only problem was that there was a herd of those things, maybe 15 or 20, surrounding the front porch, finishing off a big meal. It's definitely a human (their luxury meal) the way they all scramble together, trying to get the majority of the serving.

"Caitlin, c'mon. There's a herd of those things right over there. Don't look, just keep walking."

Just then, the thing that I didn't want to happen, happens. That's right. Caitlin coughs. Loud. One of those things turns their head, making their way over to us. Making more of them come over to us. I'm so focused on those disgusting bastards limping their way toward us that at first I don't realize that Caitlin is pulling on my arm and shouting, causing more of the monsters to come leaking out from all parts of the woods.

We start running, Caitlin a little ways behind me due to her illness. I shoot a couple that are way too close for comfort, but they are still coming at us. I grab Caitlin from almost having her arm chomped off, and go to shoot another monster. *Click* *click*

Shit! I'm out of ammo.... the only thing I can do now is cherish the last moment that I might possibly have with my best friend.

"Caitlin!?" I get her attention while still running. "Listen to me! Run a little ways east, the way we came from! I'll distract them, and then I'll come back for you! Go! Now!" I say to her, a little out of breath.

"No! I'm not leaving you! I can help! Don't leave me! Please!" She replies back with a scared look on her dirty face.

"I will come right back for you. I promise. Now go!" I say placing my other gun in her hand, leaving me with my empty pistol and a machete.

I run west, the complete opposite way that Caitlin ran, but making sure I'm slow enough for the monsters to come after me.

"Come here, you drooling assholes!" I call to them, making them limp their ugly asses faster towards me. There's about 8 or 9 left now, due to me shooting some, but there's still too many for me to handle. I then get the best idea for ridding them when I see a river behind me. I run to the edge of the river, waiting for them to near me. Once they near me and the river, I run along the edge of the river, them following. One by one, I heave my foot into their chests, making them fall into the river and float away.

"Bye bye, freaks." I smile to myself and wave to them as they float away down the river.

"That was a badass skill ya' got there. Got any more?"

I turned around as a I heard a male chuckle, and saw the most gorgeous guy I've ever laid my eyes on.

"Hi, my name's Carl Grimes," he said, a smirk on his face.
