*A/N: Just to let you guys know, this part of the story is taking place right before the Governor attacks the prison in the Season 4 Mid Season Finale, because I just want to get to the good stuff.*

Morgan's POV

I could hear voices while walking through the prison halls. Multiple voices. I wonder how many more group members I will get to meet? I felt the need to take hold of Carl's hand while walking through some dark halls. I thought he would just let go, or ignore my hand holding tightly onto his, but he just squeezed my hand tighter, which for some odd reason, made me smile.

We finally made it to a big, rusty prison room filled with a bunch of cells. 'Cell Block C,' the rusty wall read.

Suddenly, Rick's loud voice boomed across the whole entire cell block. "Listen up everyone! I would like you all to welcome another survivor into this prison! She has arrived, along with the other female survivor who is being tended by Hershel at this moment. So please treat her with respect. That's all."

Everyone in Cell Block C had come up to greet me. A redneck named Daryl Dixon, who I would definitely remember due to his weapon of choice, a crossbow, was the first to come up to me. He gave a slight nod of his head to acknowledge my presence. Next was Glenn's wife, maybe in her mid 20's with short brown hair, and her name was Maggie. Next was Maggie's sister, a seventeen year old with blonde hair, and her name was Beth. Then came Maggie and Beth's dad, Hershel, who tended to Caitlin's wrist earlier. Next was an African American woman, who carried around a katana, and her name was Michonne. And then an African American man and his sister, named Tyreese and Sasha. And then the last member, besides a little baby girl came up to greet me. She was so kind, with short gray hair and a calm smile. Her name was Carol. I could already tell that I would have a special bond with her. She seems just like my mother was.

As soon as they all went back to what they were doing before, Carl spoke to me. "Hey, do you wanna meet my little sister, Judith?"

I beamed. I hadn't seen a baby in forever! I thought I would never see one for a long time, honestly.

Carl and I walked up to Judith, who was playing with some old, tattered toys. I picked her up and started talking sweetly to her.

"Hi there, Judith! How are you! My name is Morgan!" Judith looked up at me and started smiling and laughing. "Aw, she's so adorable!" I was about to bring up her and Carl's mom, but she wasn't here, so maybe she didn't make it.

Just then, Caitlin came out of one of the cells, which I'm guessing was Hershel's, and ran up to me and hugged me, letting a few tears fall from her face. I pulled away long enough to hand Judith to Carl, and went right back into the hug, tearing up a bit.

"Don't ever harm yourself again, OK?" I told her, looking straight into her eyes. "You had me worried sick. With how deep you cut, you could've cut a vein."

"I won't do that again. I'm so sorry!" She wailed.

"Come on, I want you to meet everybody," I said to Caitlin.

Once Caitlin met everybody, it was time to eat dinner. We each had eaten meat of an unknown animal, caught by Daryl. It was actually the best meal I've had in a long time. I wish I could've had these kinds of meals everyday in this cruel world, instead of the rotten fruits Caitlin and I had to endure.

After dinner, I talked with Carl, Caitlin, and Beth. Caitlin and Beth were sharing a cell, so I had to share with Carl, which I didn't have a problem with, so we all said goodnight to each other, headed into our assigned cells, and locked them in case of any kind of emergency.

I was about to crawl under the covers on the bottom bunk, but Carl came and pulled me up.

"Morgan, I want you to sleep on the top bunk, because in that case you'll be safer, and I can alert you for danger," Carl kindly told me.

I start to protest, but he demands to sleep on the bottom bunk, and there's no way I'm gonna get out of this one.

We both crawl under the covers, and I start to fall asleep until I remember something.

  "Carl?" I softly call out.

  "Yeah, Morgan?" Carl replies.

"Why did you save me? Back at the river? You could've kept walking. You could've killed me. You didn't. Why?" I asked.

"Because if I didn't, I would've regretted it for the rest of my life."

"Thank you, Carl. For everything." I tell him.

I didn't get a response, but I thought I heard him whisper, "I love you," but I dismissed the thought, as I fell into the best sleep I've ever had since the apocalypse started.
