Annie's POV
A few months had passed and now I found myself entering my new london apartment with my best friend. What could be more amazing? It was the beginning of summer now and Olivia and I had a week to settle in and then we started our new jobs. We basically finished school at home and now we were here. We both experienced emotional goodbyes from our families but we were both so excited to start our new lives. We stepped out of the lift and stood for a brief moment, staring at the door of our new home. My heart fluttered around with excitement as I unlocked the door and pushed it open. We were met with our beautiful, already furnished apartment. Three large windows dominate our lounge area and a magnificent view of London can be seen out of them. Although I have not seen it yet, I bet it looks even more amazing at night. A large television sits on the opposite wall with three large cream couches surrounding it. The cream carpet looks untouched and the red fluffy rug in the middle of the room looks incredibly soft. To the left hand side of the room, a door leads to a good-sized kitchen and dining area; all the work tops glisten. There is a door either side of the television, one leads to my bedroom and en suite, the other to Olivia's. We both feel the need to remove our shoes before walking any further because the place looks so incredibly clean and we wouldn't want to ruin it. We both decide to venture into our rooms and unpack our large suitcases.
I almost forgot about the walk-in-wardrobe until I notice the door wide open when I enter my room. The room is much bigger than the one I had back home, in fact the bed alone is bigger than my old room. I carefully hang up all my favourite pieces of clothing in my wardrobe and fold up the rest into drawers. I place my shoes into the shoe rack which I only half fill. This allows me to make a mental note to fill it up as soon as possible. Once I've finished I get into my pajamas and stroll into the lounge where Olivia is perched on the couch, watching the television intently.
"This is amazing!" I say, interrupting the tv show she is engrossed in.
"I know, right?" she replies, happily sipping a glass of orange juice but not taking her eyes off the screen.
We spend the rest of the night talking about our new job and the things we might do until I look up at the clock and notice the time: 11.30 pm. I want to get a good nights sleep because I plan on getting up early. I reluctantly rise up to my feet to go to my bed room and then I notice the city lights. They sparkle and flicker against the darkness of the night sky and can be seen for miles, in fact I can't see anything other than them. Closer to us, I can see little London taxi's zooming around town and a handful of people walking along the road, laughing.
"Olivia, look at this" I say as I walk towards the centre window.
Olivia sleepily sits up and swivels round on the couch so that she is looking over the back of it.
"Oh my! That's beautiful." she says as she stares at the view, taking in all of it's beauty.
We both gaze at it for a good 10 minutes and I then manage to drag myself away.
"Good night Olivia!" I say as I pour myself a glass of milk and head to my bedroom.
"night, Annie" She replies as she switches the television off and stretches her legs.
"love you" I scream as I close my door and I can hear her faintly say the same to me.
I turn on my bedside lamp and crawl into my large, amazingly comfortable bed. I lay there for quite a while, staring at the roof, thinking about the day that lies ahead. I hope to get up early and have a walk and then maybe go shopping. After a good hour I drift away.
Olivia's POV
"GOOD MORNING!" I hear Annie scream at the top of her lungs into my ear.
I slowly open my eyes to see her staring at me with a huge grin. She then skips into my wardrobe and carefully picks out an outfit for me to wear today.
"here, wear this. You always take too long to choose." she says, placing the outfit on the couch and then leaves the room.
I wouldn't be surprised if she's already been out for a walk this morning. She was already washed and dressed. I quickly get out of bed and go for a shower, then dress myself in exactly what Annie had laid out for me. She's good at picking outfits for me, she's never once picked something I didn't like.
We spend most of the morning watching tv and eating breakfast. Annie finally manages to get me to come outside for a walk. We just walk around the complex, chatting. It's warm enough to wear only a t-shirt in this lovely weather. The complex gardens are really nice. There are flower beds filled with every kind of flower you can imagine and there are little benches dotted around the place. It seems like such a relaxing area. We walk over to a quiet area of the gardens but I can faintly here people laughing. I walk over to a wooden fence and peek through one of the squares as Annie admires some of the flowers. I peer though the hole and then notice a group of boys, sitting in a circle. One of them is strumming a guitar, the others are laughing and talking. I allow me eyes to focus on their faces when I realize who they are. That familiar boy with the perfect brown hair and beautiful tanned skin: Louis Tomlinson. I nearly screamed when I felt Annie tap me on the shoulder. Thank goodness I didn't I think.
"What are you doing, Olivia?" She asked me, in a loud voice which annoyed me.
I turned around to see her with a confused look on her face as if pleading me to tell her what I was doing.
"There are people over there" I whispered pointing through the hole in the fence and trying to mouth one direction.
I suddenly felt someone's hand grip mine from the other side of the fence. I freeze my whole body, apart from my head which I slowly turn towards my hand.
"Yes, there are people here" replied a cheeky voice.
I turned around to see Louis grinning at me through one of the square holes in the fence. I turned an embarrassing shade of pink and smiled helplessly. My heart felt like it had turned to jelly and I just stood there shaking. He eventually let go of my hand and I tried to relax a bit which proved impossible.
