When I woke up the next morning, my girlfriend was no longer on the couch with me.
I stretched and stood up, walking to the bedroom and peering in. She was under the covers in our bed, just as I thought she would be.
I walked over to the bed and leaned over her, pressing a kiss on her forehead, before walking to the dresser.
As I got dressed, I heard her shift.
"You've got to go to work already? It's so early..." she mumbled.
"It's not early, babe," I laughed. "It's almost 11."
I jumped slightly as she darted out of bed. "Fuck, I'm late!"
I couldn't help but snicker as she grabbed a pair of clothes and ran away to the bathroom.
After she and I had both gotten dressed and ready, I gave her a hug as she hurriedly made some instant coffee.
"You're going to make me spill it, stop!" She cried, elbowing me.
"Rude," I grinned, kissing the side of her head before walking toward the door. "I'll see you later, my love."
"Bye," she nodded, not paying much attention. I smiled and walked outside.
