My consciousness returns to me. I feel a warmth around me and not the cold city concrete. I open my eyes slowly as I am momentarily blinded by light. When the whiteness faded a unbelievable site was laid before me. Green grass coated the hillsides, crystal streams and lakes were cutting through the landscape, forests dotted across the plains and snow capped mountains were visible on the horizon.
"Wait where am I ?" I said as I looked around trying to find out how I arrived here. I tensed up as soon as I felt a presence nearing me. I whipped around my teeth barring, only to find a white wolf with a gold and blue crystal necklace walking towards the tree I slept under.

"Forgive me for startling you. I came to check if you had woken up." She said as she sat down next to me. " Where are we?" I asked feeling uneasy about how I passed out and got here. "Am I dead? Is this ...." I questioned and took a moments to take it all in
" Is this paradise..."
That place was only a story told to pups before they went to sleep. It wasn't real in any form. Well that is what I believed. But what if paradise did exist. In the afterlife or not. It just had to be where you think it is.
" sadly this isn't the paradise you are talking about but this is not far if I say so ." The white wolf said chuckling at her own words " This place dose exist. But it needs a guardian to protect it from mankind. As this was said to be the place were the stars created life. And to where mankind got banished from its paradise." She stated as she turned her head towards me." I want you to guard its secrets, live here away from man and stay here till you arrive in paradise." She said as her paw reached up to my face.
" Why me? Above all the other noble wolves in the world why me? I don't deserve this. I..."
"Dear child you will find out in due time, remember this before I go. As the great star pack once said. " To those who walk the path of solitude to find wisdom , deserve a place among us. But to those who risk there lives for the paradise they long to seek, on the throne of Alpha's they will reign" The she-wolf proclaimed as everything started to fade.
One thing echoed in my mind as darkness consumed paradise.
I blacked out to the one dreaded sound of all wolves who survive in the cities.
The blood curdling howl of the dog that hunted us down.....
