Under machine gun fire ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wind rushing through my fur, the cold ground crunching under my paws. Why did I leave this life behind for the city. But there is one downside to this.
All the freaking snow
Great another night in a cave to sit out a storm! But what can I say the new life on the run is way better than what I was dealing with before. Being able to run to my hearts content and not worry about walls caging me inside. Though the life of true freedom comes with some problems.
Like people complaining that they haven't eaten in weeks....
Speaking of which Hige and Toboe were doing so right now. These two are going to spend the night outside if they keep this up. I started around at the cave to see the scene unfold in front of me. Not finding interest in the conversation at hand I spaced out turning my head to the entrance of the cave. Staring out into the endless white wind. The sounds of the conversation drowned out by the howls of the wind. Soon I lulled off into a sleep.

I wake up to the smell of something. My thoughts lead to one thing. "FOOD! " I barked as I boltedout the cave towards a hill to find a couple day old carcass of a deer. I waited for the others to get here before we started digging in to the carrion. Tsume looked at us in disgust.
" H'y 'r'n't y' g'na e't s'e" I asked face stuffed with carrion. Hay if I can get something to eat i will eat it. "Yeah we still got a long way to go, Tsume " Said Toboe who also started to join us on the carcass. " Go where exactly," Tsume snapped back, " To that paradise place you all keep talking about" he continued.
"The nerve of that guy. Doesn't he know that if he just shut up he wouldn't be so annoying!" I growled under my breath.
"So tell me how far are you going to trail after this guy to a place that doesn't even exist." Tsume said the venom visible in his words. " that's it I can't put up with you losers anymore I'm leaving." He said walking away from the group.
" Tsume don't leave!" Called Toboe as he saw him get up. " Hnmf tough guy thinks he can make it out here on his own." I growled in his direction. " if you ask me the only one acting like a kid around here is him." Said Hige as he continued eating. " Don't say that." Toboe whisper. Feeling rejected that his friend was leaving him. " Wait here guys I'll go talk to him." He called as he ran to catch up with Tsume who just made it over the hill.
" Well I guess we wait then." I said lifting the bandage up to check my injury. I placed a finger under the bandage and felt the cut. Sliding my finger over the wound and feeling the scar tissue. "Guess not long till I can take this off." I smiled watching the sun slowly descending out of the sky. " Wait how long have we been waiting for them now. Damn it! Guess there not coming back" I sighed watching as the sun flickers it's last lights over the land as the moon takes its place. " Guess it's just us three now. It's a sham I'm gonna miss him." I said to Kiba and Hige as I stretched.
" Who Tsume?" Asked Hige a bit concerned about me missing the wolf that made me pissed off the most.
" Nope! Toboe." I replied chuckling a bit at his reaction. I returned to lying down as the moon coated the dark landscape in milky light. Letting the white tuft of fur on my back glow in the light. Few words were exchanged as we lied there in the moonlight. After a while of basking in the light we started heading on our way. We were keeping up a good pace until I heard it. My ears shuddered at the sound, the one thing that I hade hoped to avoid. The guy feeling wrenched at my stomach.
The sudden bursts of machine gun fire.
They activated one of those robotic soldiers. Kiba looked at the plate below his feet. We stumbled across a abandoned military base. And Tsume and Toboe were being hunted. We bolted in the direction of the gunfire. Knowing that we had to get those two out of their and destroyed the machine some how. As we arrived at the gorge we set into action.
I let out a bloodcurdling howl to draw the machines attention away from Tsume who was about to be shot at point blank. Kiba made the first move Jumping down onto the hunk of metal.

Distracting it long enough for Hige to lead Tsume out. As I ran down the cliff I grabbed Toboe by the scruff of his neck and kept out off firing range.
As I set him down I headed back down to help Kiba who just managed to rip off the one canon from the robots body and was now running up the cliff face with the robot firing at him. Using the cover I sprinted towards it at breakneck speed. Sliding under its body and ripping out the few wires that were left in its hull. As soon as I slid out from under it its focus was on me. " Damn It I'm Screwed!" I panicked thinking that I ripped the wrong wires out.
But no sooner as I thought that it's legs gave way and it collapsed in front of me.
Suddenly the ground started shaking and I bolted up the side of the cliff. And just as I scrambled over the top. I heard water rush under me freezing over in the night temperature. I flopped down on the ground . Panting and trying to catch my breath. After a minute of greedy taking in oxygen. I got up and joined the others as the sun finally showed itself again on the horizon. I turned to the group as Tsume spoke up.
" I don't get is why did you guys come and save us. And don't say it's because we're friends." He grunted holding the now healing wound on his leg.
" It's simple," Kiba replied looking at the two." It was instinct." He stated. I grinned at his answer. "This kids got skill I'll say that much." I thought as Tsume and Toboe took the lead as we continue on our quest to find a place where we didn't have to worry about these robot soldiers anymore.
But now this is where the story starts getting deeper and soon I'll find out that I was following the wrong sent the whole time...

I hope you can forgive me and I hope you take this chapter as a token of my sorriness ( if that's even a word)
