What did I just do...
Those are the only words running through my head; in every variation imaginable. What have I done, and what the HELL do I do now....
I know I'm acting like an ass, I can only imagine what is going through Shrimps brain right now. I have NEVER felt this way about anyone before. I didn't realize the walls I had built around my heart to protect it. Not until Shrimp came and broke all of those walls down. Slowly. One by one, brick by brick. I don't know how she did it. Especially after the ways, I hurt her during our first meeting. Knowing I had the power in one hand to crush her skull if I wanted to, she still came over and sat by me, Still introduced herself. Even as I pushed away, day after day she would sit by me, even if Lucy or those other idiots were there. Jeff and Boy... I can never remember their names. All I know is every time Levy's team would come back from a job and Levy wasn't with them or straggling behind for some reason or another it took all my strength not to go over to them and punch them both in the throat for not keeping my Shrimp safe.
I sighed, pulling myself from those memories, with a start I realized Shrimp was talking to me.
"...train, right Gajeel?" Shrimp finished.
"Sorry Shrimp, what did you say?" I asked a bit ashamed that I was having such a hard time focusing.
"Ugh, I asked if you knew this was a nonstop train." Shrimp retorted irritated.
Grunting I looked over at her, "Yeah, I know Shrimp."
And with that, I just walked off. I didn't know how to tell her that while she was using the bathroom, I stopped someone and asked him the fastest way back to Magnolia. And this was the only thing, a three-day train ride. It cost me an arm and a leg not to mention it would probably cost me my stomach too. Which is why I usually take smaller trips to give me a break from motion. But I would do anything to get Levy home the safest and fastest way I could. And when we get there, I will tell everyone what's going on. They will keep her safe while I go looking for a cure.
