Chapter 14

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in so long. I've been so busy with Uni and moving to Adelaide. I'm currently on holidays so hopefully I can update more regularly. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, love you all xx

Once we arrive at the club we all show our ID and walk in following the loud music. "Shall we find a place to sit and then order some drinks?" Rose asks. We all agree and go find an empty table to sit at. 

Once we find a table Lucas and I go to get the girls and ourselves some drinks. Esther told me to surprise her so I just ordered an apple cider. Once we got everyone their drinks we walk back to our table. I hand Esther her drink. "So what did you get?" she asks looking at her drink. "Just an apple cider" I reply. She smiles and we both take a sip of our drinks. "Let's go dance" I hear Rose saying to Lucas as she grabs his hand and they run off. Esther laughs as she watches them go. "What did Lucas got her to drink?" she looks at me. "Something strong I'm guessing" I reply. We both laugh as we watch them dancing together. "They're terrible dancers" Esther says. "Agreed" I say back.

A few hours later

After a few drinks Esther and I are still sitting at the table talking. "Do you want another one?" she asks me. "Nah I'm good for tonight" I says "someone has to look after the three of you". "Well aren't you Mr responsible" she says ruffling my hair. She's definitely tipsy. As she starts walking to the bar I say "only one more Esther". She turns around and solutes me "yes sir" and giggles. I smile slightly and sit at the table and wait.

After awhile she finally comes back. "What took you so long?" I ask her. "I was just talking to some guy at the bar" she replies sitting next to me "he gave me his number". I clench my jaw. I definitely don't like that other guys are giving her their numbers. "What?" she questions. "Nothing" I reply. She frowns and says "okay. "Here drink this" I say handing her a bottle of water. "Thanks" she replies taking a sip. "So are you going to message this guy?" I ask. "I don't know yet" she replies. I nod. Hoping that she doesn't.

After another hour we finally find a drunk Rose and Lucas. "Cmon guys time to go home" I say as Esther and I help them walk back to the apartment. Once we're back home we put them to bed. Esther and I go into the kitchen once Rose and Lucas are asleep. I look at Esther sitting at the kitchen bench holding her head. "You okay?" I ask. "Just not feeling to well" she replies. "What's wrong?" I ask worried. Just as she's about answer she runs to the bathroom. I quickly follow her and hold her hair back as she's sick.

Once Esther has stopped being sick she flushes the toilet and turns around looking at me. I pull her closer to my chest. Her cheeks flushed clearly from embarrassment. "You should have told me earlier you weren't feeling well" I say to her. "I only just started feeling like it" she replies. I nod. "cmon let's get you into bed" I say leading her upstairs to her bedroom. "I'll leave you to get changed" I say walking out shutting the door.

I go into the bathroom and get some panadol, a glass of water and a bucket. I open Esther's door a little. "are you dressed" I ask her. "Yeah" she replies. I walk in and place the bucket beside her bed. "Just in case your sick again" I say. She screws her face up. "Sorry you had to see that" she says. I smile sitting on the side of the bed. "It's fine Esther" I say handing her the glass and two panadol tablets. She takes the medicine and hands me the glass. "Thank you" she says. I smile and stand up "have a good sleep Esther". As I start walking away she grabs my hand. "Wait" she says "will you stay with me?".

I nod and put the glass on the bedside table. Esther folds back the blankets making room. I sit on the edge of the bed and start unbuttoning my shirt. I take it off and fold it up and place it on the floor. I start taking off my shoes. I then get into bed and pull the blankets over us. She looks at me. "Come here" I say gently pulling her into my chest and wrapping my arms around her. She lays in my arms with her head rested on my chest. "Thank you" she says "for staying with me". "It's okay" I reply. "You really are a great friend" she says. "Get some sleep now Esther" I say. She closes her eyes and I watch as she falls asleep in my arms. Soon after I fall asleep too.
