Balloon Ambushes and Drop Outs

     Third Person POV: 

     Today Shin, Carla, Shu, and Ayato stayed home with Alex. They had slept in her floor so the others just decided to leave them for her today. 

"When do you think she'll wake up?" Ayato asked as he looked at the lump under her covers. 

"When she does." Shu answered sleepily. 

"She is quite the specimen." Carla says as he, too, watched the lump. 

"ATTACK!" A form shouted as they ran in with a bucket. 

The four stared at Alex with a bandanna tied around her head, two pink lines of paint under each eye, and a camo outfit with black combat boots. 

"Ummmm Alex?!" Shin cried as he ripped the covers up, revealing the decoy pillow she'd placed. The four sweatdropped as she pulled out water balloons and hit each of them once. 

"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" She laughed as she watched them watch her. 

"Alex.......WE'RE GONNA GET YOU!" Ayato shouted with a laugh. 

She squeaked and ran away laughing. They caught her and broke a balloon over her head. 

"PAYBACK!" Shin laughed as the others watched the girl roll her eyes. 

"So, what're we doing today?" Shu asked.

"My neighbors are being jerks." She grinned. 

"Okay, I like where this is going." Carla chuckled. 

"Sooooo we're gonna throw water balloons at them in secret. BUT they're actually filled with pancake batter." She explains to the four, who are trying to contain their laughter. 

"So where are these batter-loons?" Shu asked with a grin. Alex's eyes shone from the sort-of pun, despite how horrible it was. 

"SHU used a pun." She said poking him because of her own pun. He rolled his eyes. 

"You and you're puns....." Shu sighed.

"It's kinda cute how she does it." Shin chuckled.

"DON'T CALL ME CUTE!" She shouted dousing him with another balloon. He just laughed and threw one back. 

"Grrrrrr! Anyway, I have all of them outside on my porch. My neighbors are going to get a surprise when they take their daily soak. Following a schedule really makes you vulnerable for attack." Alex smirks. The four males just laugh and shake their heads at the girl as she leads them to the balloons on the porch. There they find five pails each filled with about twenty balloons each. 

"This is going to be FUN." Alex chuckles darkly. 

Shin and Carla pool all their balloons together, planning to throw all of them as a unit. Subaru, Shu and Ayato on the other hand kept theirs perfectly separate. Typical them Alex thinks to herself with a slight giggle. 

"What's so funny?" Ayato asks raising an eyebrow. 

"Well OTHER than the fact we're about to litter my neighbor's hot tub with pancake batter filled balloons?" The female grins. The four laugh a little with her as they get into throwing position. 

"Guys, I obviously can't hit them from here..." Alex says with an eye roll. She climbs up on the railing and then onto her roof, her pail on her arm. The four pale and try to stop her.

"Alex, you're gonna fall!" Shin says in a slightly panicky voice.  Alex ,of course, ignores them and keeps going until she reaches the top. There she has a little slingshot set up and a small barrier to hide behind she had camouflaged as her roof.
