Losing Alex

The group of boys had spent an uncomfortable night in Alex's living room and guest bedroom, honestly quite cramped. Laito ended up sleeping in the BATHTUB.....It was certainly an interesting sight. The group didn't actually get much sleep but it wasn't due to discomfort. They felt horrible for making Alex so upset. Until that moment they hadn't thought of how their decision would affect her future, and to be honest it drowned them in guilt. 

"Guys...." The exhausted voice of Shu sighs. 

"Yeah?..." Ayato responds in an equally exhausted voice. 

"We screwed up, huh?" Shu grunts as he sits up and stretches. 

"Yeah, we really did." Kou whines from the kitchen where he was aiding Ruki in the making of breakfast. 

"Do you think we can fix it?" Yuma asks the group. 

"I think so, we just have to be patient and play our cards right." Laito says in a winded voice while he stretches on his way out of the bathroom. 

"Laito did you....sleep in the bathroom?" Azusa asks with a raised eyebrow. 

"I didn't exactly sleep but yes, I did take rest in there." Laito shrugs as he grabs an apple. 

Without a single sound, Alex had emerged from her room with the messiest case of bed head EVER. 

"Uhh....morning?" Kino laughs nervously. 

"Morning...." Alex says in a low, annoyed tone. 

"H-how did you sleep?" Kanato asks with a gulp. 

"Horribly.....my mind was stuck on my destroyed future and pushy housemates." She snapped as she grabbed a banana and stormed back into her room. 

"Man she's really.....pissed." Shin frowns. 

"YA DON'T SAY!" Ayato tches. 

"I think we should do something nice for her, like get her ice cream?" Kanato says as he tries to think of a way to fix their dilemma.

"What kind does she like?" Carla asks as he gets a drink of water. 

"Cookies and cream." The Sakamaki and Mukami brothers respond in unison. The girl's favorite treat was an understood thing among the ten. 

"Then we'll distract her while you go get it. We'll need LOTS of it." Shin grins. The others nod in agreement as they look at Shin and Carla. 

"BUT, we will be leaving Laito here with you to make sure you don't try any funny business." Reiji says putting on his glasses and grabbing his credit card. "We'll be back later alright?" He says as the ten walk out. The only ones left, are Shin, Carla, and Laito. 

     "So tell me? Why is it you wanted both of you to stay back hmm?" Laito asks in a defensive stance.

"I think you already know." Carla smirk as he and Shin charge at him. 

"SHIT!" He coughs as Shin attacks him from behind, landing a strong kick to the middle of his back. Laito was sent FLYING out the back window and the brothers smirked at each other as they grabbed some sleeping pills from the cabinet. They proceeded to grind them up and mix them into a cup of water. Following these actions, was their entering Alex's room. the female was slumped on her bed, seemingly motionless. The only indication she was alive was the movements she made when breathing. 

"Alex? We brought you some water....we want you to stay hydrated at least." Shin smiles warmly as he sets the cup on her bedside table. The brunette instantly grabs it and chugs it, making the two grin. It wouldn't take effect immediately, but for sure Alex was gonna pass out soon. Now the reason Alex chugged that water so quickly without question, was of course her intense thirst. Her heart was pounding in her ears, each breath was horribly painful....and she could smell the fresh scent of blood. 

"Blood...." She gasps as she stumbles from the room. "I smell it...I smell blood...and it's....Laito's...." She follows the scent to find the male on the ground, picking the shards out of his arms and legs. 

"Ah- Alex...." He says looking up at the girl. Alex didn't seem herself.....her face was murderous and evil, and her eye held blood-lust. 

"I'm sorry for this-" She smirks as she bites into his neck. He groans and inhales as the pain overwhelms him. 

"ALEX, YOU'LL KILL HIM!" Carla shouts as he hits her over the head with a cast iron skillet from the kitchen. The skillet was horribly dented, and Alex was still conscious. She stands and turns to them, blood dripping down her chin from the sides of her mouth. 

"Is that such a bad thing?" She laughs. She'd totally lost it......

"Alex, calm down. Out of everyone you can kill....it can't be him. Sure we don't like him, but then again we also do." Carla frowns. 

"Guys we got the- WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!" Ruki exclaims dropping the bags he was holding. He examined the scene, seeing Alex's expression. He pales and turns to the others. 

"She's lost it, we have to bring her-" He started. He was cut off by Alex sudden;y disappearing into the morning light. 

"ALEX....ALEEEEEX?!" The males cried as they searched around for her.

"We have to find her, or something REAAALLY bad will happen." Shin frowns. 

"WHAT DID HAPPEN HERE?!" Subaru snaps with balled up fists. 

"Alex attacked me, and threw me through the window." Laito replies in a quiet voice. Shin and Carla were quite surprised he had lied for them, but dared not question it now. 

"If we don't find her, she'll kill so many people. She'll be a wanted fugitive and will probably get captured. The government will do doubt run experiments on her and god knows what else could happen. Let's go, and make sure none of it does." Yuma says looking down with his hair covering his eyes. His mouth was brought up into an angry scowl, and it was clear he matched the feelings of the others. Anyone laying even a finger on Alex was simply unacceptable. They spread out and look around for the bloodthirsty girl, vowing to find her. As of now they had lost Alex. Both physically....and mentally.....
