Chapter 19

*carsyn's POV*

Harry pulled into the tight spot between two cars, making the sides of his eyes crinkle and his forehead frown. When he slid into the parking spot he grinned his crooked smile, eyes twinkling. As I reached to unbuckle my seatbelt, Harry threw open the car door and ran around the front of the car. In his mad dash, he didn't notice the uneven side walk, and tripped. He groaned and rolled over as I got out of the car.

"That's what you get for trying to escape me." I joked as I knelt down by him.

"I was running to open your door." He says while looking down and rubbing the back of his neck. My heart melted at his kind words, and I planted a kiss on his cheek.

We walked through the door of the coffee shop and were greeted by a cute old lady. I was about to order when Harry's phone rang. He looked at me for permission, to which I granted.

"What Zayn I'm on a da-" his face drained of all color. "Is she ok?!"

I heard unclear yelling in the phone, but I knew it was an emergency.

"Ok we'll be there." He answered in a stressed tone before hanging up. Harry turned to me, concern written across his beautiful face.

"Kelly has been shot."

*Zayn's POV*

I ran into the back room once I heard her scared scream. Kelly's beautiful body was on the ground, crumpled in pain. I scooped her up and ran to the back of the bar. I immediately flagged down a taxi, I know not brilliant but it was quick and safe. After a minute, one pulled over. Inside was a young looking guy with blonde hair and amber eyes.

"Is she ok? Wait, no way.." He began.

"Do you know her?!" I question "who goes a fuck just go to the hospital, now." I grab out my phone and dial Harry, telling him to come to the hospital.

"I drove her from the guy that was chasing her." He began softly. "Is she safe now? Oh I'm Matthew, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Zayn." I replied.

"Well of course I know who you are, my little sister loves you guys. I actually think Lexi went to one." Lexi... Isn't that Louis' new girl?

"Wait Lexi Thelia?" I question.

"Ya, isn't she dating Louis? And if you're wondering why she doesn't look like me, I was adopted." I nodded. He chuckled, quite the small world right?"

We pulled into the front of the hospital, and Kelly was still spouting blood from her collar bone area, opposite side of her heart.

"Help! She's been shot!!" I croak. Immediately, a stretcher is brought and a few nurses lift her onto a stretcher an wheel her into a room. I try to follow but am stopped.

"I'm sorry no one else besides family in ICU." The bald doctor said.

" she doesn't really have any." I respond.

" I need a first name and last name, so I can find a birth certificate and register her." He kindly asks, with sympathy on her face.

"Kelly... Bevvin. I think.." I answer unsurely. He nods and scribbles on his clipboard.

"Where is she?!" I turn around to see Carsyn burst through the lobby, Harry got on her heels.

"She's in ICU, Kelly got shot." I answer wearily. Carsyn's face drains of all color. Immediately, she goes limp and passes out, but Harry caught her frail body first.

"I'll get her a room too. First and last name?" The doctor politely asks.

"Smith. But she was adopted. Do you want her biological name?" Harry offers.

"Yes please." The doctor answers.

"Uhm I think it's Bevon.. Bevan... Oh no I got it! It Bevvin." My heart stops cold at his words.
