City Square was just as pretty as ever, coated in vibrant purple flowers that celebrated the upcoming spring season. Birds chirped, and sung happily among the cherry blossom trees. All until they heard the painfully loud shout of a fully grown man.
Marinette wondered what on earth had merited her brain to think that Adrien was stable enough to actually leave the hospital walls. He was that of a destructive little child, constantly asking for shit he didn't need, and pestering her to kingdom come. At one point, Marinette had to apologize to a group of kids, as Adrien nearly squished them all, in what should have been, a friendly game of football.
He clearly didn't seem to take to social concepts very well.
The only sound reason for allowing Adrien out in public was to enforce appropriate behavior with regular citizens. He could then study how others acted in the environment and hopefully, emulate said behaviors. At least, that was the hope. Not to mention, it was three fourths of what got him to relax after Marinette stupidly seduced him. She had yet to receive the official court date over the whole issue, but knew it was readily approaching.
"Hey! Look!" Adrien shouted, breaking Marinette's eardrums in half. He excitedly pointed at a lighted sandwich board. "Let's take swing dancing lessons!" he enthused. She was just satisfied to see him back to his own version of normal.
"Uh, sure," she agreed reluctantly. Allowing herself to be dragged, Adrien forced entry into the already packed room, working their way into a spot on the wooden dance floor.
Adrien held out one hand for her to take, and drifted his other to her waist. With a feathery light touch, his grip ascended downward, until Adrien squeezed her right bottom cheek.
"Careful!" Marinette squealed, not surprised but extremely annoyed. "What's the big? I've rubbed them before, Peaches," he whispered slowly into her ear, licking the outer shell. "Back up, Buster. That was a one time special, okay? Look, if this helps any, if the circumstances were different, I might consider dating you," she said.
Their pace picked up rapidly with the melody and speed of the rhythm. Adrien kept twirling her about, leaving no room for conversation. When he did pull Marinette in close, she bore her eyes into their shoes.
"Hey," Adrien said.
"If I could, I would be an absolute gentleman, and actually take responsibility for my actions," he continued. Marinette furrowed her brow in absolute confusion.
"But you have Antisocial Disorder."
He snickered, "It's not like I don't know that, Peach."
"By definition, you're not supposed-"
"May I cut in for a dance?"
Marinette turned around, viewing a face she recognized. How on earth had he managed to make another appearance? And at this point in time, too.
"Uh, Adrien, this is Ethan. Ethan, this is Adrien," she shakily voiced. This was a moment that loomed in her head. No matter how much Marinette deemed this to never fabricate itself, here it was; Adrien's reaction.
"Yeah, sure. Whatever. I'm gonna make out with a hottie behind the building."
After giving Ethan a "bro pat" on the shoulder, he handed her over to the guy the two barely even knew. If Adrien was gonna act like a brat, Marinette was going to take advantage. She rolled her eyes, assuming positions with Ethan.
