Chapter 2
Evie's pov
I couldn't sleep that night I had a pounding headache, and my eyes were so dry they felt like they were on fire.
I didn't dare go downstairs and join everyone.
I didn't want to give anyone more reasons to call me a freak.
I kept thinking about the guy I saw.
I felt as if I knew him yet I have never seen him before.
I looked at the clock it's 12am so officially my birthday.
my dad said some big secret would be revealed today, but nothing so far.
Just me feeling like crap.
Happy birthday to me I guess.
I laid down, and tried to get some sleep.
I kept dreaming of the guy from earlier.
He kept telling me I needed to use my powers.
"What powers?" I asked him.
He told me that I would know soon.
Why does everyone keep telling me that?
I heard noise by my door that woke me from my dream.
What was all the commotion?
My door opened up so I looked to see who it was.
"princess are you awake?" My father asked.
"Yes dad come in."
He just kept looking at me like he wanted to say something.
"You know I love you right process?"
"Of course I do. What's wrong dad?"
"What I'm about to tell you may sound a little crazy. "
"It's okay dad you can tell me anything."
"Well as you may have noticed your different than all of us. "
"Yea I have. "
This is It he's going to tell me I'm adopted.
"Well what would you say if I told you we once looked just like you?"
What is he talking about?
"What?"
"We were just like you before our change. See my daughter your about to go through a major change. We are all an element. I am a water element. "
"Dad what are you talking about?"
"We are not from here. We came to earth after our home planet was destroyed. Each one of us has a special power. Today you will receive yours. It will hurt at first, and you will go through major changes. "
"Dad are you drunk?"
"I know this is all a bit much, but you will see. "
with that he got up and walked out.
He had to be kidding right?
There was no way any of this could be true.
