We pulled up to Benders to see a crowd of people hanging around outside, all of them dressed like they were going to the Grammys or some shit. The outside of the restaurant looked like only Richard Branson or Bill Gates could afford to step inside. It was very intimidating looking, especially when we are dressed like we are on our way to school.
We walked up to open the door and I literally heard a group of people laughing at us. Inside the place, was dimly lit and soft ambient music was playing. Waterfalls walls and statues surrounded each corner, while rich people sat being waited on by waiters and waitress in bow ties. I started to feel nervous.
"I think we are not going to be able to complete this dare," I whispered to Sonic.
"How in the world are we going to get a table?" April said, "Look at us. We all look like we belong in McDonalds."
The atmosphere in the bar was calm. It looked rich, because you had to be to eat here.
"Let's just ask how long the wait is," Brooklyn said, walking up to the maitre d', "Excuse me, how long is the wait?"
"Let me see," He said, sifting through a notebook, "How's June 3rd?"
"Thats a little over a month away."
"Yeah," Sonic said, "We need something tonight."
He looked at us up and down, "Please, even if you were Ryan Gosling, I would have to turn you down. And trust me, Ryan Gosling is my dream man, so you know how serious I am." He looked like he was going to ignore us any further, if we continued to bother him.
"We're doomed," I said, throwing my hands in the air.
"Maybe not," April said. She walked back up to the maitre d' and whispered something in his ear. After a second she turned back around and waved for us to come over, "Looks like something opened up."
We followed the maitre d' led us to a huge booth in the back of the restaurant, "Your waitress will be right with you."
We all took a seat, "Okay, what the hell did you tell him to get us a table," Sonic said.
April pulled out the camera, "Well, after he said Ryan Gosling was his dream guy, I knew he was into men, so I gave him both of the boys' numbers. Say Cheese!" She snapped a picture.
"What?!" They both said in unison.
"It got us a table didn't it?"
"So that's why he winked at me," Sonic said.
"So what do we order?"
I looked over the menu to see nothing I was interested in. I'm good with a Big Mac and fries, not caviar or filet mignon. The only thing I could afford here was water. There was also a bunch of meals written in what I think is French, so I hove no idea what it even is.
"I don't know. This dare is strange."
"Hello everyone, my name is Lisa and I will be your waitress for the evening. Can I start you guys off with one of our specialty drinks or perhaps some wine?"
"Wine all around please," Sonic said, "And we are ready to order to. We will all take the steak."
"Coming right up."
"We are not 21, why did she offer us wine?" Lane asked.
"Don't question good things Lane," Sonic said.
After a few minutes had gone by, our steaks arrived and it was time for me to tell the rest of the group the rest of the dare.
"Okay you guys," I started, "There is actually more to this dare."
