Imaan's POV:
It was a day just like any other.
Except this was the day that everything was going to change.
The life I had claimed to be mine would no longer be mine.
I return today from where I came. From where it started, where it began.
As I walked through the gates of the prestigious airport, I had one glance back at the city that had raised me. Made me who I am today. Delhi.
Yeh mera ghar nahi tha, phir jaane kyun ghar jaisa yeh lagta hai?
Murmuring a "thank you" to the city, I boarded my flight to 'Nawaabon ke sheher' Lucknow.
<*_*_*_*_*>
"Taxi" I called.
As usual, the airport was bustling with people anywhere and everywhere. After much wait, a taxi finally stopped in front of me and the driver stepped out to help me out and load my only suitcase into the trunk of the black and yellow taxi. Thanking him, I sat inside the taxi.
"Kaha jayenge janaab?"
I told him my address and the taxi was in motion.
"Kaha se arahe hai aap?"
"Delhi" I replied simply, trying to avoid the conversing with the driver, who I had noticed wasn't much older than I was.
Unfortunately, he was in the mood to talk,
"Aap hamare Lucknow main kaise tashreef laye hai?"
I hesitated for a moment, but replied as the driver seemed friendly,
"Kuch adhoora reh gaya ta jise mukamal karne aya hoon"
"Aisa kya hai?"
I didn't reply this time.
"Humara naam Anam Malik hai"
"Imaan Khan"
He exchanged a warm smile.
"Bhaijaan, ek sawaal puche aap se?"
"ji puchiye?"
"Aapko koi kaam tha Khan janaab se?"
"Nahin woh mere......."
"Aapke?"
"woh mere..... waalid hai."
"Kya?"
Anam, the taxi driver, was in shock.
