Ross Kindsor

That was a weird encounter. I opened my locker. My new locker neighbor was pretty short, had dark brown hair, and had these.. these blue eyes that just reminded me of someone. The bell rang so I quickly put my backpack in the locker, slammed it shut and rushed to my homeroom. Since it was the first day of school, everyone was just getting introduced to the classes and such. None of my friends shared my first period class so it was going to be a long class. As I got to the classroom, my advisory/homeroom teacher started introducing himself and wrote 'Mr. Stewart' on the white-board. I've had him before since he has taught AP English Language and Composition for my junior year last year. I took out a notebook and started writing, it started as simple words until I started thinking of a tune in my head. I didn't know I was humming until I looked up and saw everyone facing towards me.

The class was silent until Mr. Stewart cleared his throat, "Would you like to show us what you've been working on, Mr. Kindsor?"

"Not unless you want to see a bunch of sexual lyrics." I smirked as the class laughed. I was about to write more lyrics, until I saw my locker neighbor. "I didn't know you were in my class." I mumbled to myself. While looking at the front of the class, she was tapping her fingers on the desk lightly, probably to music. I tried getting a closer look but she sat in front but diagonal to me so I just let it go. As the first period bell rang to notify us that class was starting, everyone started quieting down and the teacher started talking.

"I know it's the first day of school so that's exactly why I'm making all of you guys do this activity." He looked around and handed everyone a blank piece of notebook paper. "All of you guys are going to write down three other classmates' names and write down one word to describe them. One word, easy, right?" Mr. Stewart then proceeded to walk to his desk and sat down.

"Alright alright alright," I whispered to myself while walking around. I saw a tall jock looking guy so I walked to him and introduced myself. "Yo, I'm Ross. What's your name?"

"Of course you are, who doesn't know the legendary baseball player," he laughed. "The name's Carson." Carson offered me his hand so I took it and shook it. I gave him a tight smile and wrote down 'jock' next to his name on the paper.

After scanning the room, I found a cute looking girl with reddish hair and slid over to her.

"Hey! What's the name of the beautiful woman that I'm standing in front of at this moment?" She started giggling and covered her mouth.

"My name's Zoe." She grinned and dramatically made a confused face. "And you.. You must be the famous Ross Kindsor, am I wrong?" I shook my head and gave her a tight smile along with a wink as I walked away and wrote 'cute' next to her name.

Everyone here is so normal and cheerful. I went and sat down at my desk even though I still had one more person to write down. As I looked out the window, dramatic, I know, I heard someone approach me.

"Hey- um, I need one more name and everyone is occupied so I thought since you have a locker next to mine, we'd see each other a lot so why not." I looked up at the voice. It was the familiar blue eyed, brown haired locker neighbor I had. She gave me a small smile and started talking. "So, what's your name?" That question surprised me since practically everyone knew who I was, even if they haven't met me personally.

"Are you kidding? Who am I, you don't know?" I sat staring wide eyed at her.

She started backing up a little and had slight rosy cheeks. "I'm sorry, should I know who you are?" She laughed awkwardly and seemed very confused.

"I'm Ross. Ross Kindsor." She didn't know who I was. It was sorta refreshing. "What's your name?" I left a blank space before I wrote the word 'shy'.

"My name? Oh right, it's Katherine Romero."
