Chapter 2: Wielders

I prepared my stance and I was ready to fight. We stared at each other for a while then she suddenly dissapeared.

She's too quick!

"Got you!" I heard her behind me, she shot with her gun, I jumped out of the way but the explosion still hit me, knocking me back.

I stood up and saw her point her guns at me, it seems she is charging power.

This is bad, I need to do something..

She shot a giant ray of light coming towards me, I tried to block it with my scyhte but it was too strong. It knocked me back again.

Am I this weak?

I stood up and the moment when I looked up she is shooting rapidly with her guns. I run sideways to avoid the bullets.

"Got you!!!" She shouted as she jumps and shoot with her guns in mid air...

"Heaven's smite!!!"

A giant ray of light coming from the sky above me, I covered myself with my scythe but it wasn't enough. I got hit by the ray of light.

Luckily I survive but I'm very injured, she's too strong.

"What is this?" She said

"You have the power of scythe wielder? But you cannot even lay a single attack on me. You're pathetic"

She's right I am pathetic, I'm too weak. I can't protect my sister like this.

"Well this is a waste of time, now begone." She said as she charge her gun.

Is this what I can do?

Is this the... end?

No...

"Burn!!! Gallant Ray shot!!!" 

I am not going to lose here...

Veronica's POV

He's done for. I shot my gallant ray at him. He is not even that strong. His movements are off, he has no combat experience. Maybe he was just accidentally been picked.

I looked where I just shot. I was surprised that he survive that shot. I saw him holding his silver scythe in front of him. He is badly injured in this case he will die.

I pointed my gun at him but something feels off. I can sense that his eye color changed. When I prepared to shoot, he dissapeared.

"What?" I said suprisingly.

"Where did he?" I looked behind me and I saw him just standing. I pointed my gun but he dissapeared again but this time I sense him coming from the left. I immediately crossed my guns.

His scythe hits my guns and I saw his face. It was normal but his eye color changed. Instead of what I saw earlier, he has brown eyes but its a pure crimson red color.

He became powerful all of the sudden, is this the power of the scythe wielder?

I kicked him and jumped out of the way. I was rapidly shooting him but he keeps blocking every bullet I shoot.

Its impossible to block all of my bullets at once. He dissapeared again. I looked up and saw him ready to slice me. I dashed out of the way but he appeared behind me. I couldn't react fast. He swings his scythe, luckily I was able to block it but the tip of the scythe hit my right hand.

I was knocked back. This is getting bad, in any case I need to kill him now. I charged up my gallant ray. He is slowly walking towards me.

"Gallant ray!!!" I shouted.
