Chapter 3: Veronica Heartfal

Veronica's POV

I still feel a little dizzy for what happened. I underestimated him, but it was my fault anyway. I stood up from bed and it seems I'm still at queen aesa's castle.

"My feet!" I shouted. I removed the blanket and checked only to see my feet is fully healed. I remember my feet with holes because of that scythe.

"Who could've healed me?" I was confused but it didn't really bother me. Im sure it was queen aesa. I should thank her for it.

I was about to get out of bed but I stepped on something soft. I looked down and saw Nesko, I was steping at his butt.

"N-N-NESKO?!" I shouted with embarassment and because of my clumsy personality I fell on top of him. I looked at him very close like we were about to kiss. I can't believe he's still asleep at this moment but looking at him now. I can't quite describe it, somehow I can't take my eyes off him.

"GOOD MORN-" I heard a little girl voice. I looked behind me and saw konei. She was very shocked and so was i. I immediately got up.

"K-konei?! This isn't what it looks like?! Uhmm" I don't know what to say.

"After I healed you! You're already kissing my big brother!" She said it and hug her big brother.

"Big brother is mine!!" She said and with a pouty face.

I've never seen a girl very clingy to her brother. But...

"Konei i-i was not gonna kiss him" I said nervously.

"I fell and uhh"

"K-konei?" Nesko wakes up.

"Big brother! Goodmorning!!"
Said her sister happily.

"Goodmorning to you too konei" said nesko and pats her head.

"Oh, good morning veronica, how's your feet?" Nesko asked.

"Well it's thanks to-" and it hits me, Konei said after she healed me?

"Uhmm, well it thanks to Konei that it was healed" I said and walked up to konei.

"Thank you konei" I said happily

"Hmp, don't try to steal my big brother again" Konei said.

"Steal?" Nesko said.

"W-what!?"

"What did you do?" Nesko asked me.

"N-nothing, I just fell out of bed and kinda drop on you, so... anyway, I was surprised you didn't even wake up from that point."

"Oh, its because I was having a conversation in my head"

"A conversation? With who?"

"He said his name was Dyeux"

"Dyeux? Never heard of that name before" this is the first time I've heard of that name"

Aelia...

"Veronica?"

"W-what?"

"Im gonna ask you later"

"Ask me what?"

"Later,for now lets go talk to queen aesa"

"Sure"

He got up with his sister still doing her pouty lips.

"Uhmm..."i said

"She's always like that,dont mind her"nesko said and pats her head. Konei smiled.
