I had to find her. But where would she be?
the trees swayed slowly from left to right, leaves occasionally falling and branches snapping off. they towered over me as I ran through the woods, trying to find out where she had gone.
I saw a figure, sitting alone in the woods. I heard small sniffles echo through the trees as I walked towards them with caution. It was roni. Or whatever the hell was inside her.
"Get out of my sisters body." I said through gritted teeth, and I received a horrified look.
"I would! I would if I could Vanessa, I would if I could. Do you think I want to be here? I'm stuck, and I don't know how to get out."
"What... what are you?" I asked in slight fear.
"I'm a who, not a what."
"Who are you then?"
She looked over at me in sadness, fear.
"I like to call myself C. I.. I wake up every day in someone else's body. But I don't like being in your sisters body. It's like, she's different. I admire her, Vanessa."
I froze. Some weird person who jumped bodies admired my sister.
"Can't you just go to sleep then?" I asked.
"I wish I could. But I had coffee so now I'm not even tired. You know, that's what was on the note I had. Coffee cups and glowing eyes. I was using a caffeine boost to cover the fact my eyes were glowing...? It didn't really work though."
We walked back home.
"So... what are you going to do now?"
"Wait, I guess." C responded, playing with her hands as she sat on one of the cushions. We turned on the tv and watched it for a while, awkward in each other's presence.
There was a small knock at the door.
"I'll get it." I muttered quickly, before speedwalking towards the door. I opened it and fear ran through me.
There stood Cameron, wearing a suit and holding a bouquet of red roses.
"Is roni there?"
