Jaxon got up early, six on the dot. It was routine for him. Actually, it was normally five but for once... He managed an hour lie in. He then woke up, showered and dressed into jeans and a black shirt. He made breakfast for Arielle then woke her up. She was happy and surprised by the gesture. And even more surprised at his talents with a frying pan as the fried eggs on toast was the best thing she had ever tasted. He then sat at the kitchen table with a coffee while she showered and dressed.

"Hey are you okay?"She asked him as he sipped thoughtfully.

"Yes I'm fine. Have you got a car?"

"No... I get the bus...Why?" She ran her fingers through his hair as she passed him to grab herself a coffee.

"Well I fancied us going out today. We could get a taxi."

"A cab? Where to?"Arielle slid into the seat opposite his across the table and took a sip of her drink.

"Manhattan." Arielle blinked.

"That'll cost more than this apartments worth."

"Trust me, I can afford it." Jaxon spoke with a bit of an edge to his voice so Arielle did not press the conversation. Instead she sipped her coffee until it was finished then cleaned her cup. Jaxon handed her his cup.

"Have you got a cashpoint anywhere?" He asked as she washed his cup.

"Erm... An ATM? Sure...On the corner?" She nodded her head to the south where there was a corner shop.

"Okay, I'll be right back. I love you." He left without waiting for an answer. So what he didn't know was that the cup Arielle was holding fell out of her hands and landed on the edge of the counter, cracking and smashing once it hit the wooden floor, all in a state of semi-shock.

Jaxon took the money out and a tad bit more just in case then put it all in his wallet. He got back and luckily didn't have to be buzzed in because an old lady was leaving the building and held the door open for him. He thanked her but still had to knock on the door of Arielle's apartment anyway. She opened it for him, looking confused.

"I never asked... How did you get in here yesterday?" Jaxon smiled as he walked in.

"I went round to your brunette friend.... What's her face...?"

"Cheryl?" Arielle asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Her! She had a key."

"How did you know where Cheryl lives?"

"Magic. Can I borrowyour mobile?" Arielle held it out and walked off into the bedroom. Jaxon called a taxi on her mobile then followed her into the bedroom. She was placing items into her handbag. She looked up when Jaxon walked in.

"I've called a taxi, we should probably wait outside."

"Okay." Arielle grabbed her jacket, hanging off the peg.

They both left the apartment and waited outside. Jaxon leaned against the wall of the apartment block and pulled Arielle against him, her back to his front. He then wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin on the top of her head. She smiled at this sweet contact.

When the yellow taxi pulled up, they both sat in the back and Jaxon pulled Arielle against him.

"Where to?" The driver asked.

"The Empire StateBuilding," Jaxon told him. The driver raised an eyebrow but huffed a sigh and drove off. Jaxon turned to Arielle. "I hope you brought your camera." Arielle stared at him in surprise and wonder.

"You're amazing, you are." Jaxon winked.

"This is just the beginning."

Arielle did not wait to get to the Empire State Building before pulling out her camera. They drove over the Brooklyn Bridge and Jaxon watched in amusement as Arielle took pictures through the open taxi window.
