Jaxon had a huge hangover the next morning so he had a lie in until ten when Cheryl, Kirsten and Arielle came over. They all went to decorate the reception venue together. The room would be out of use for tonight and tomorrow so the decorations would not be touched. Tonight they had a table booked for Jaxon, Zac, Neil, Cheryl, Kirsten, Margaret, Shaun and Jaxon's dad Jason. That wasn't until nine so they prepared the reception room, covering tables with white tablecloths and arranging the tables so that they were around the dancefloor. They set up a main table and a buffet table (as the restaurant would be preparing a buffet than separate meals). Each table had name cards and a crystal vase filled with blue and white roses, to match the bouquets. Glasses and cutlery were to be set up tomorrow which the restaurant staff promised to do in the morning. Arielle called up the registrar office to ensure they had set up the room with the decorations over there which they reassured her that they had.
Once the room was set up, the boys stayed there and the girls went back to Kirsten's where they had left their evening clothes. They all got dressed. Arielle wore a red dress with a slit in the thigh. Kirsten wore smart trousers and a blue blouse and Cheryl wore a black dress with lace sleeves.
They joined back up with the boys (who were both in denim jeans and a waistcoat with a whiteshirt, Jaxon a navy blue waistcoat and Zac wore black) back at the restaurant where they met Jason and Neil, Jaxon's brother and father.
"Arielle," Jaxon wrapped an arm around his fiancéé. "This is my father, Jason and my brother Neil." Neil was taller than all of them and was extremely tanned with the same hair colour and eyes of his brother. He smiled at Arielle cheekily.
"You're a pretty one, why on Earth would you fall for my baby brother?" Arielle smiled.
"Nice to meet you both."
"You too ma'am. My son definitely caught a good one." Jaxon smirked at Arielle's look of surprise.
"You're American?" She blurted out. They all laughed.
"You never wondered why my name is spelt weird or why I transferred over to the American military?"
"Not really no." Arielle replied, rolling her eyes at Jaxon.
"He's my boss's boss's boss or something like that." Jaxon told her.
"Wow." She looked impressed which made Jaxon and Jason laugh. Jason could have looked like the much older brother of Jaxon and Neil, their looks were so alike. At that moment, Margaret and Shaun walked in and Arielle left to talk to her parents. The parents of both Jaxon and Arielle met and they all had dinner together. It was not an uncomfortable affair in the slightest and Arielle found herself squashed between her mother and Jaxon at the dinner table. They all ate and Jason ordered them all a bottle of champagne. Once dinner was over, Jason tapped his wine glass with a teaspoon, almost smashing it and making everyone else laugh. He stood up and smiled at Jaxon and Arielle.
"I'll pay for that. Well, Jaxon. I'm mightily impressed. You talked about this girl like she was a Goddess and indeed I find that she is one beautiful and intelligent person. Credit goes to her parents of course," He smiled as he tilted his glass towards Shaun and Margaret. "Arielle,I know you'll make an honest man out of my son and I wish you both all the best with my whole hearted blessings." He smiled and tilted his glass again this time to Arielle and Jaxon.
The rest of the night went on and finally they parted ways for the night. Jaxon kissed Arielle passionately as they would not meet again until at the altar. Arielle then went with Cheryl and Kirsten to Cheryl's house.
