It's Never Too Late (EXO One Shot)

Chapter 15:

“What… you’re not going to stay away from me?” Kyungsoo said one day after he was being bullied by the other students in the school, again.

Chanyeol was then confused, so he asked, “Why would I stay away from you?”

Kyungsoo then laughed, a sarcastic one, “Because I’m like this.”

And then again, Chanyeol asked, “Why? You’re like me, you’re like Baekhyun, and you’re like everyone here in the school, in the world!”Chanyeol assured.

And when Chanyeol noticed that Kyungsoo was not talking anymore, he patted Kyungsoo’s head and said, “Please take care of me here in your school. Let’s meet tomorrow.”

And Chanyeol went back to their room. He saw Baekhyun wincing in pain so he went to Baekhyun’s side, “Baekhyun, what’s the matter? Does something hurt?”

When Baekhyun saw Chanyeol, he was startled. Oh noes, he shouldn’t see me like this. So he sat up straight and pretended that he was not experiencing any pain. He smiled and said, “I’m fine. My stomach just hurts.”

“That’s good to hear. I thought it was something serious.” Chanyeol said as his worries were gone. He held Baekhyun’s hands and looked around the room. And he saw the glares of their classmates on the two of them.

When Chanyeol was walking on the corridor, he was approached by a group of guys.

“Chanyeol!” someone called him.

“Hi! Who are you?” He greeted and asked them.

"We’re from Class A.” someone on the group answered.

"Woah! You’re Kyungsoo’s classmates!! Yeah, why?” Chanyeol asked excitedly.

"We have something to tell you.” they told Chanyeol to come closer.

Chanyeol obeyed and asked them, “What’s that?”

"Stay away from Kyungsoo!! And Baekhyun!! Haven’t you heard the news? Are you deaf?” someone told him and he was raged.

Chanyeol gave them a look, “Why? Is there something wrong if I become friends with them?”

And they were confused at what Chanyeol said, “Aren’t you scared of them?”

And Chanyeol scolded them, “Are they the really ones who should be feared? Or you guys? The ones who judge people because of a gossip or so whatever, and were not even true?”

They were starting to get annoyed to Chanyeol because even though how many times they tell him and to make him understand, he never listened,“Look, this is for you. You’ll be safe i---“

“Safe? Haha. Don’t’ worry, I can handle myself because I have friends here somehow. And why would I be in danger?” Chanyeol faked a laugh.

“Because of them!!” one of them shouted.

And Chanyeol schouted at them too, “WHY?!”

“Because they are dangerous and bad!!”

Chanyeol tried to understand them but he failed. Because he really cannot see what’s the problem to Kyungsoo and Baekhyun. “Did they hurt you?”

“Not yet but--“

“And you hurt them right? So tell me now, who is more dangerous and bad?” Chanyeol said coldly. “And they won’t do anything… look at how fragile they are… they’re lonely.”
