I opened the room door and walked out. She looked at me confused. "You need to rest"
"I'm fine." I smirked. "But you know what I want?"
She raised an eyebrow. "what?"
"You read minds. You should know."
"Breakfast."
"Bingo."
She got up off the bar stool and twisted her way into the kitchen. "Anything in particular?"
"Whatever is fine with me."
"Tub." Lane said getting behind me. I backed away from him a bit startled.
"What the hell?"
"To keep the peace, Lane wants to bathe you."
"Frankly, I didn't even want Ava to bathe me. And I definitely don't want you to." I said narrowing my eyes.
"Someone has to wash your cuts." He said getting closer.
"I said no" I said with a shorter tone. Lane pushed my shoulders together and lifted me. Considering that caused my cuts on my back to rub against each other I started groaning. Ava's eyes widened and she pulled me down softly.
She narrowed her eyes at Lane and led me to the bathroom. "scrub throughly. I'll come and bandage you."
"No I'll be fine." I said stretching. She glanced at me with dispare.
"Let me just help you."
"I'm a big boy. I don't need help. But thank you for offering." I smiled messing up her hair. She looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"It was only cuts... I'll be fine. I used to have a cat around me remember?"
She snickered and continued to make breakfast.
------------
I came back from a shower to see Lane sitting eating breakfast. He was quiet and moved like a robot."So Lane. Where are you from?" I asked.
"You don't know the place." He said not turning to look at me.
"Try me. I know alot of places."
"Then I don't want to talk about it." He put down his cup.
"You are the guy who's obsessed with reproduction right?" I am trying my best to get to know the bastard.
"She asked me the same thing." He laughed a bit and turned to me..
"Well what intentions do you have for her?"
"Well I do actually like her. But she keeps ignoring our relationship."
"What relationship?" I smugly asked. "Cause just a few hours ago she was all over me." He lifted my shirt and pressed me against the wall seething with anger. "Dude chill, I was just joking." I said
He dropped me and sat back down. "No but in all seriousness, she isn't into you" I said.
"How do you know. You don't know everything about her."
"I've been through her past relationships. You just aren't her type. Please don't question my expertise." I said sitting down for breakfast.
His mouth closed then opened. "No I will. I don't care that you have history. I don't care that you two are friends. Back off."
I bit down on my fork to hard and looked up. I put my fork down and smiled. Theres no used hiding it now. "You're right. She could have liked you. Then she must have found out you were a repulsive piece of shit."
"Why you little-"
"Now now Lane. You wouldn't want to hurt her best friend. That could put you even deeper in the shit hole you dug your self in." I watched as Lane held his butter knife with murderous intent
Ava came of the bathroom with hair that rested on her shoulders. "You cut your hair?" Lane quickly put down the knife.
"Yeah it is easier to manage." She smiled. "What were you guys talking about?"
"Men stuff, you wouldn't understand." I said smiling as Ava put her hand on my shoulder to pass.
