Arthur looks up, raising his head slowly, the universe still spinning rapidly around him in sickening circles. Paroxysms of anger, hopelessness, fear, and panic welling up to the brink of any containment.
The young man who had hurled the shot had left his gun lying on the ground right in front of Arthur.
He sprawls forward, and grabs the rifle between his fingers, his hands shaking, and tremors enveloping his body.
He aims the shotgun right at the leader.
~"I'm going to kill you!...," he screams, "...I'll kill all of you!"
The gang does nothing different, but continues laughing and giving each other high-fives and yelling up at the sky.

Later...
...It should have been me, Arthur thinks, pulling his sheet even farther over his head.
He has somehow made it all the way back home. He hadn't wanted to leave her body, but he couldn't bring himself to face it again.
He now sinks into the most wretched, horrible place within his soul. He had fallen in love with an angel in disguise, and everything he sees reminds him of her.It also doesn't make it any better that he is completely alone.
...He is on his own again.
He doesn't even have anyone to talk to. There isn't much at all to talk about anyway, and he doesn't want to think about the future now...he just wants it all to disappear... Or maybe for himself to disappear...
The only reason that he was able to fall asleep on this Saturday night was pure exhaustion.
He shuts the window, draws down the curtain, and won't leave his room. Outside, it begins to rain, and eventually, the rain shifts into pouring buckets.
He won't answer to anyone.
