Artemis then knew the telepath had heard every last word going through her head, when Megan's brows furrowed and her arms crossed. "Let's talk in private." She said calmly, and Artemis nodded her head. The two the left the room, leaving a stressed speedster and the oblivious members of the team.

Megan quietly ushered Artemis to her room, opening the large door. The archer was welcomed with a sweet floral smell, most likely from a fancy air freshener- probably not a scented candle. A shiny "Martian Manhunter" poster hung on the rock walls, the plastic glistening from the overhead light in the room. The Martian's light pink bedsheets were tidy, and the colored books among the bookshelves were orderly and clean. Artemis couldn't help but smile a bit; although her mother was in a wheelchair, she always kept her things tidy.

However the archer's smile faltered when she remembered how un-orderly the house was while she was living with just her father.

"Artemis? Are you alright?" Megan asked kindly, noticing how her friend had spaced out a bit- again.
Artemis snapped back into reality after hearing Megan's bubbly voice, and replied, "yeah M'gann. Let's talk, I guess."

Megan sat down on her bed, and lightly pat beside her, gesturing for Artemis to take a seat next to her. The archer did just that, sitting down on the soft cotton bedsheets.

"Um... So what's this about you 'getting answers' and going after your father and sister?" She finally asked, her previous smile weakening as she made eye contact with Artemis.
The archer noticed how uneasy she was, and bit her lip with nervousness. "I-I just... Feel..." She stuttered, but couldn't finish.
        "Guilty." Artemis breathlessly finished.

"It's okay Artemis. I understand you feel guilty, but there's nothing you could've done. You were in your civilian identity." Megan reassured, giving a small smile.
However Artemis didn't return the smile. "I don't know! I just... Felt the need to protect him I guess. I-I just should've been able to... Megan I need to find the kid."
"Artemis I don't think-"
"I have to do it! If he isn't dead already!"
"Should we talk to Bat-"
"M'gann! No!"

Megan sighed in defeat. She was getting a bit irritated by Artemis- she understood where she was coming from though. But why was this child so... Important? Neither of them knew the answer to that question.

Wally on the other hand, knew the answer quite clearly.

He was starting to get jittery. The speedster was eating anything edible he could find to distract himself. To say that the others were worried for him, would be an understatement.

"Um... Wally." Superboy commented blankly. Wally was quickly tapping his foot on the ground from his spot on the green couch while chomping loudly on a bag of potato chips. The others were trying to focus on the movie they were watching, but couldn't focus.

"Yeah, Supes?" Wally replied nonchalantly, already knowing why the clone had commented.
Connor paused for a second as if he was trying to figure out a way not to be rude. "Could you please st-"

At a lightning speed, Wally sped off leaving the others in shock. "Why did he just do that?" Rocket asked in confusion, raising a brow.
"Because he already knew what Connor was going to ask before he even said anything. I believe I should be getting back to Atlantis, so I will be back tomorrow to continue the investigation." Kaldur calmly stated, and gave a kind wave as he exited the recreational room.
"I should get going too Connor. Cya tomorrow." Then Rocket left, leaving the clone by himself to ponder what had just occurred with Wally.

|An Unknown Location|
|Now|

Dick wanted out. He wanted to go home.

But no one was coming for him. Not his pathetic excuse of a father, his lousy team, or a league of sticks-up-their-asses. He was alone, all by himself. Just him and his mind which was breaking apart by the second.

Whoever these people were, they continued to inject him with who knows what. Dick honestly stopped caring. It was only a small pinch anyways, and then he drifted off into a deep sleep. In fact he'd rather be injected with an unknown toxin that puts him to sleep than live this hell. Maybe they'd just kill him now.

A creak from the side of the dim room announced the entry of a personnel. Dick had recognized the person that usually came in- a woman maybe in her thirties or so. She had cheyenne hair that was tied up in a bun, and an odd aroma. She always came in with a white trench coat and a vial, ready to inject Robin with whatever the hell was in the vial. First she would clean up his wounds which was very painful- but the pain had almost became numb. Dick was too out of his head to feel anything right now.

Then she would wash him up or give him food to eat. After that she would then take the syringe and jam it into his arm, take her kit, and leave.

Much to his surprise, it was not the woman who came in; but someone with lighter footsteps. Their breathing was more even and more calm.

Dick could almost hear her fucking smirk.

"Hello bird-brain. Did you miss me?" The villainess cooed in a taunting way, smiling behind her red and gray cat-themed mask.
"Hm. I'll take that as a yes." She said after getting no reply.

Suddenly there was shouting from outside the door, and... Gunshots?

"Looks like I'm not as stealthy as I thought. Let's get out of here before I regret this." Cheshire hissed quickly as she started to pull the restraints tied to Robin's limp body.

Luckily she was fast, and got him free. After realizing he wouldn't budge, Jade began to pick him up. She was interrupted when 4 guards barged into the room, guns blazing. Cheshire dodged easily as if it were some sort of game, knocking out each one of them cold. "Too easy." She laughed, and then walked back over to the bed Dick had been restrained to- where he still lay.

"Now... Where was I?" She asked the boy as if he was actually listening. Which he was, but he didn't want to talk. What was the point?

So she picked him up throwing him over her shoulder, and she walked over to the sealed window. Jade pried it open as if she were opening a soda can, and pulled out a grappling hook. Leaning over through the window slightly she shot the grappling hook upwards, shooting her and the boy over her shoulder to the roof.

When the duo arrived at the roof, they where met with misfortune.

"Ahem." The man cleared his throat, glaring daggers at the villainess.
"Sorry doc, I don't have an appointment. I guess I should get going!" Cheshire shouted to him jokingly.

He didn't flinch; instead he continued to glare at her. If looks could kill.

This was going to be his best experiment yet, and he wasn't going to let a wannabe villain ruin his hard work.
