Jungkook and Taehyung entered a restaurant and ate for an hour. Jungkook had many questions for Taehyung. Though he didn't want to answer them, he liked having someone interested in the real him. He answered every question the best he could. When it was Taehyung's turn to ask a question, Jungkook would answer him happily. Taehyung began to feel like Jungkook was truly becoming his friend. Could he be so lucky to finally have a friend?
"What about your parents? What are they like?" Taehyung aked Jungkook.
"My mum is really nice. Too nice for her own good really. My dad ... he's not the best person in the world."
"Why is that?"
"Umm... He's just not..."
"You don't have to answer," Taehyung said worryingly.
Jungkook took a drink from his water and began to eat again lost in his own thoughts. 'What happened between him and his father?' Taehyung asked himself before eating more.
As the check came to them, they both instantly raised their hand to pay for it. Jungkook glared at Taehyung to put down his hand. He did so and Jungkook took the check.
"You should really let me pay for it." Taehyung knew that Jungkook didn't have that much money.
"No way. I invited you here. Besides, I want to be the man in this relationship."
"What?!"
Jungkook began laughing. They left the restaurant and Jungkook asked where Taehyung wanted to go next.
"Can we go to an amusement park?" Taehyung asked nervously. He felt it kind of strange to be asking a guy to go out to an amusement park.
"Of course!" Jungkook grabbed Taehuyng's hand again and pulled across town.
As they were running, Taehyung watched Jungkook. He never really noticed how handsome he was. His face was defined looking manly but yet so cute. His hair moved so gracefully in the wind. He was so tall and in excellent form. Did he find Jungkook attractive?
"Yes," Taehyung mumbled to himself. Taehyung couldn't believe it. He was actually falling for a guy. What was wrong with him? He had never once thought of a guy this way. Perhaps it was Jungkook's personality. He had never met someone like him before.
No matter what Jungkook did with Taehyung, he was constantly smiling. Taehyung could feel his warmth emanating from him and felt comfortable being beside him. All Taehyung knew was that he wanted to be with Jungkook as long as he could, little did he know their time would be cut short.
"Jungkook! What are you doing outside! You should be home studying for your finals!" a deep voice yelled from behind them. When Taehyung and Jungkook turned around, he saw a muscular man in a black suit peering down at them. Taehyung looked at Jungkook who was stone-shocked. "Did you hear me?! Who is this boy?!"
Jungkook let go of Taehyung's hand. "He's no one. You don't have to have any concerns about him."
"What's with that tone?!"
"I have no tone."
"Go home. Now!" The yell made Taehyung jump and Jungkook began to walk away. Taehyung made to follow him but was stopped by the man. "What's your name boy?"
"Kim Taehyung," Taehyung whimpered to man as he grasped tightly around his wrist.
"Don't touch him!" Jungkook swatted his father's hand and stepped in front of Taehyung. "Leave him alone. He has nothing to do with you."
"Don't talk to me like that!" the man slapped him across the face. "I may talk to whomever I choose."
"Please don't hit him."
"Don't bother, Taehyung. Let's go." Jungkook pulled Taehyung away before the man could have another word.
Questions were racing through Taehyung's head. 'That was Jungkook's father? He's nothing like Jungkook ... Jungkook has a warmth and kindness about him even though he still has a rough exterior. His father was ... cold. Just cold,' Taehyung thought about it long enough and decided to stop Jungkook and ask him about it.
"Why is he like that?" Jungkook stopped in his tracks.
"How am I supposed to know?" His voice sounded angry and he squeezed a little harder on Taehyung's hand.
"You're hurting me..." Jungkook looked down at their hands and broke apart. He didn't realize he was still holding onto Taehyung's hand.
"Sorry, you had to meet him. I didn't want you to, but I guess it was bound to happen." Jungkook sighed and looked at Taehyung. "You should go home. It's getting late and we both have school tomorrow. See you." So it was Jungkook's father.
Taehyung didn't want to leave Jungkook, but turned away from him and walked to his house.
When Jungkook arrived back at his house, his father was waiting for him.
"Who was that boy? He better be just a friend." Jungkook's father pushed him up against the wall.
"He's barely even a friend. Just some kid I felt sorry for."
"Are you telling the truth?"
"Why should I lie?" His father loosened his grip and Jungkook planted his feet back onto the floor.
"Why must you hide things from me? If you had told me about him sooner, I wouldn't have been so strict." He stroked Jungkook's cheek as he spoke to him. "I was angry when you were with someone else. You should know that you belong to me—only me." He ran his fingers through Jungkook's hair and then down his neck. He made his way down Jungkook's entire front that he could reach, even there. "Everything belongs to me."
He let Jungkook go and walked to his room leaving Jungkook all alone in the hallway. Jungkook breathed deeply and fell to the floor. He heard the door to his father's room open again, but this time his mother came out.
"Jungkook ... are you all right? Did he do anything to you?" his mother asked softly. Junkook shook his head. "I'm so sorry Jungkook ... In a couple years, you'll be able to move and leave this house. For now, please bear with it." Jungkook nodded his head as his mother kissed his forehead.
She smiled at him and returned to the bedroom. Jungkook crawled to his own room, closed the door and locked it. He remained huddled in the corner of his room for a long time before sleep finally came over him.
He dreamt of a wonderful place with all his friends and his mother. A world where no hurt could come to him. That place he would visit every night in his dreams to escape the reality he was forced into during the day. It was the one place where he could be free. Tonight was a little different though.
A new person made an appearance in his mind. A guy with brown hair was smiling at him. Taehyung held out his hand for Jungkook to grab it, but as it reached for it, his alarm rang.
