12 // Co-Captain

Ella was sitting in her bed, eyes wide open and her mind wandering. She and Stiles both escaped the Alpha, but barely. She couldn't sleep, she was scared. Allison was shuffling around her room next to her, adding to her non-sleeping problem.

She could hear Allison walk over, before tapping on her door lightly. ''El?"

Ella sat up, dark circles already under her eyes. She rubbed them before looking at her sister. ''What's wrong?"

Ella noticed her sister's hands rubbing at her bare neck. ''I lost my necklace, have you seen it?''

Scott must've gotten the necklace, Ella thought. She shook her head at her sister, playing along that she didn't know.

"No, do you want me to go check in your car? I can't sleep anyway.'' Ella answered.

Allison nodded slowly at her sister as she watched Ella get up from her bed, but Allison grabbed her elbow. ''Ella, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm glad you told me about the kiss.''

Ella's cheeks widened when she smiled and threw herself into a hug with her sister, ''Thank god, I've missed you.''

Allison hugged her sister with a smile on her face. ''I've missed you too. My car is unlocked.''

Ella nodded and walked downstairs into the garage, Allison's blue car sitting in it. She opened the door and began to scan even though she knew the fate of the necklace.

In the middle of Ella's search, the garage door opened, making Ella turn her head back. She closed the car door gently before trying to slide down more in the seat. She could hear the voices of her father and Kate.

''It hasn't been an issue since we've lived here.'' Chris Argent's voice boomed.

"All I'm saying is that firing those things so close by, is bound to draw attention.'' Kate stated.

Ella watched her father hold up some object, he had it in the air showing Kate. ''These things have saved my life more than once, and I know how to be inconspicuous when I need to.'' He dropped the object into the garbage can.

Kate was smiling, "This coming from a man whose preferred weapon is a crossbow. You know these extra skills are something you could be teaching your daughters. I believe Ella knows what's happening with the supernatural. She was attacked by the Alpha with that Jackson not to long ago.''

Chris shook his head. ''I know, but not Allison. Not yet.''

"Ever?"

"Not.. yet.'' Chris said.

Ella was looking at Kate when she looked back, making Ella move her body down further inside the car.

''You coming?"

"Yeah,'' Kate asked, placing something on the table. ''Coming,''

Once the coast was clear, Ella got out Allison's car, closing the door gently. She walked over to the trash can about pulled out an object with an unfamiliar texture. She didn't hear Kate opening the door and staring at her with a smile.
