''If Jackson doesn't know what he's doing, then he probably doesn't know someone's controlling him.'' Ella's voice rang out. She had called Scott and Stiles as soon as Lydia told her that the Kanima seeks a master.
''Or he doesn't remember.'' Scott added.
''What if it's the same kind of thing that happened with Lydia when she took off from the hospital?" Stiles said.
''A fugue state.'' Ella dead-panned.
''He'd have to forget everything, the murder,''
''Getting rid of the blood,''
''But he had help with one thing, the video.'' Stiles explained. "And someone else helped him forget that.''
''Whoever's controlling him.'' Scott concluded.
''Are you sure Jackson has no clue about any of this?'' Ella said, sighing.
Stiles huffed, ''He thinks he's still becoming a werewolf and that being with Lydia somehow delayed the whole thing.''
''So do we try and convince him he's not?" said Ella.
''If it helps us find out whose controlling him, yeah.''
''Do you think he'll talk to us after what we did?" Ella asked, even though she didn't technically do anything to the dimwitted teenage boy.
''Yeah, it's us. He'll talk to us right?" Stiles asked, looking at Scott.
Scott and Stiles had managed to get a restraining order put against them by Jackson and his father. Ella was headed to the library to talk to Scott and Stiles, since she got more information from Lydia's translation.
Ella turned her head slightly to see a camera sitting proudly in front of the library. She rolled her eyes and walked behind a shelf, and pulled a black tablet from her bag. She slipped it through the shelves into Scott's hands.
''It's everything Lydia could translate,'' Ella started. ''And trust me, she was very confused.''
Scott looked up from the tablet. ''Yeah, what'd you tell her?"
''That we were part of a online gaming community that battles mythical creatures.'' Ella laughed.
''I am part of a online gaming community that battles mythical creatures,'' Stiles deadpanned, making Ella's laughing stop.
''Okay, does it say how to find out who's controlling him?" Scott asked.
''Not really. But Stiles was right about the murderers. It call's the Kanima a weapon of vengeance. There's a story in there about this South American priest who uses the Kanima to execute murderers in his village.''
