The Winter Storm Of My Brother's Heart(TMNT/Frozen)

No More Closed Doors

(Mikey's P.O.V)

I cried my eyes out as I watched the scene before me. My brother and best friend was frozen and Leo was clinging to him and also crying his eyes out. I had buried my face in Raph's shoulder and he had his arms around my shell. April had her face buried in her hands and Alex had his hand on Leo's leg, trying to console him, with little success. I just stood there and had my face in the crook of Raph's neck and felt the tears run down my face, and showed no sign of stopping. It was so quiet that the only thing you heard were sobs and the wind blowing softly. Then all of a sudden I heard a small gasp from Alex and I looked up from Raph to look and figure out what the snowman had gasped at, and my eyes widened and I patted Raph's shoulder, who also looked up, gasped in surprise and pushed April lightly in the shoulder who also gasped in surprise. Donnie's body had started to thaw and turn back into flesh and blood instead of ice, part by part of his body. Leo still hadn't noticed, he was still crying into Donnie's shoulder and had his arms around his neck, but as Donnie was unfrozen and started to move Leo finally noticed what had happened. He looked up, but kept his hands on Donnie's shoulders in a tight grip.

"Donnie?" He looked up from Donnie's shoulder and into his eyes and let out a laugh of relief and hugged him, with his arms tightly wrapped around his neck, as Donnie wrapped his arms around Leo's shell and squeezed a little around Leo's back. I heard that Leo fought back new tears and after a minute he released his hold around Donnie's neck and met his eyes as Donnie also let go of Leo, but Leo kept his grip on Donnie's shoulders.

"Why the heck did you do that? Why did you step in front of me and sacrifice your own life for me?" Donnie smiled, stretched his hand out and wiped a tear from Leo's cheek. Leo closed his eyes when Donnie touched him and seemed to fight back even more tears. But he opened his eyes as he heard Donnie's answer.

"I told you before, all that matters to me is that you are safe, remember? Besides," He placed his hand on Leo's shoulder and looked him straight in the eyes and smiled while he did, causing Leo to smile too.

"I love you guys. All of you." He looked over at us and down at Alex. Leo released his hold on Donnie's shoulders as Donnie kneeled down to the snowman's level and put a hand on his head.

"Thank you. For talking some sense into me, and helping me see things the way they are again. I owe you big time!" Alex just smiled brightly and just chuckled a little embarrassed.

"Aw shucks, you know what they say. 'Love has the power to melt even the coldest of hearts." Raph scrunched his nose in a way to show his confusion and looked down at the snowman with a raised eyebrow.

"They say that?" Alex shrugged and smiled innocently. He obviously did know or care if what he said was right. Donnie seemed to be in deep thought though and had hid hand on his chin as he thought.

"Love can melt?" He only whispered it, and it was hard to hear, but I heard, and I think that the others did too. April took a step forward and put a hand on his shoulder, but didn't seem to notice.

"Uh, what are you doing Donnie?" She asked and got a little surprised when ran to the center of the roof and started to make gestures with his hands again. I couldn't help myself, I had to say it.

"Donnie, I don't think we need more snow. We have enough of that-" I didn't get to finish my sentence, because he shushed me and made more gestures with his tongue sticking out the corner of his mouth. Then something amazing happened, the snow started to lift from the ground and flow into the air and creating one big cloud of snow. And snow and ice from roof tops, the streets,alleys and from the ocean began to go back to the creator, who seemed both concentrated and relieved at the same time. We looked at each other in glee and saw as the last of the winter got into that big cloud of snow and ice, and then let it vanish into thin air, and with that, the crazy winter was gone. Donnie let out a sigh of relief and leaned forward with his hands on his knees. I stepped forward put his hand on his shoulder and pushed him lightly.
