12: Behind Close Doors

I am staring at the glass of wine in front of me while I am in Mephistophele's house. I feel safer here when especially Gehenna is crumbling into pieces.

Astaroth, almost got the major control of Hell. He is actually succeeding of overthrowing Lucifer, but there are still who's loyal to him.

"You cannot avoid Astaroth forever, Ose." Mephisto said, while sitting in front of me.

I drink the contents of the wine "I am not avoiding him, Mephisto. I just hate to see his arrogant face. This is madness. We're having a power conflict here while the angels are protecting the humanity. That's not our goal."

The wine colored hair demon sigh "But what can we do? It's like a civil war here. Unless you want to sneak out, which I strongly not recommended."

I frowned "Why is that? Is Astaroth going out of his mind? That's what we supposed to do!"

"Are you fucking deaf? Haven't you heard that he only allows Mammon's legion and Belphegor's legion to roam the earth? Lucifer's generals are just a mere decoration now." he hissed.

I slam my fists on the table, making all the utensils clatter "Damn it! I am losing my mind!"

"You are the demon of insanity, it's impossible." Mephisto snorts.

I glare at him "I got no time for your jokes, Faustus. Be lucky I have to go to Astaroth." and with that, I disappeared in a black smoke.

"What brings you here, Ose?" Astaroth asked, while he is caressing Lilith's thigh as she sits on his lap.

I try harder not to puke on how disgusting the scene is, this filthy whore.

"I want to go to Earth and do my job to corrupt humanity." I said, in a clipped tone.

He archs an eyebrow "What could be the guarantee that you won't try to contact Lucifer?"

I snarl "Dickface, he is our leader and you just cannot order me what to do."

"I am very much your leader now since Lucifer left us to chase that woman. See, he don't even bother himself to go here after of what we did earlier on earth." he laughs.

Everything happened so fast, the next thing I knew is that my cane hit Astaroth on the face that resulted him to sprawl out on the floor.

Lilith jumped off from his lap, trying to get away from the commotion.

But it doesn't matter, all I have to do is to kick the living shit out of this demon.

When I was about to hit him again, my cane became very hot that I cannot hold it anymore.

I cried out in pain when I feel my hand are being burned, I hissed and shakes it to stop the pain.

"Excellent job, Coulton." Astaroth said, while standing up slowly.

Coulton?

To feed my suspicion, I look up to Astaroth and I saw a figure materializes behind him.

My eyes widened when I saw thousand of figures appeared behind Coulton.

How did that happen?

Astaroth chuckle "As you can see, Ose. I got a new legion."

"They are vampires." I grasped my cain tightly on my right hand. I need to get out of here and report this to Lucifer before he found out that Hell is not his anymore.

"Vampires turned to demons, they choose the dark side and it's fascinating. I seize control in Hell by their help. They almost outnumbered Lucifer's demons and I got mine."

That's it. I need to report this, before it's too late.

But before I try to escape, a chain wrapped around my neck and pulling me backwards.

I try to dig my heels on the ground to stop the person who is dragging me. But sadly, it seems the chain has a sort of a power that is draining my strength.

I lose the will to fight because of the chain, absorbing my power.

I ended up being dragged with my back on the floor and my head hitting the cold surface. As my eyelids became heavy, I suddenly feel sleepy.

Then somebody picked me up by my collar and forcefully dragging me up to my feet.

A wave of drowsiness washed me like a hurricane and I couldn't help but to yawn.

I heard Astaroth laugh "Nice job, Belphegor. Even though you are very lazy, your power is admirable."

Belphegor? The demon of sloth?

"What should we do to him?" I heard Belphegor asked behind me.

"Confined him inside his room, don't let him go somewhere." Astaroth ordered.

No matter how hard I try to wriggle out of Belphegor's grasp, I cannot fight his power.

An alien feeling of laziness invaded my system and all I can do is to close my eyes and sleep.

I'm sorry, Lucifer.
