One can see the sea in her green eyes
Waves after waves rolling off
But it was not serene
Not serene at all.It was thrashing around
Forming a mighty storm
From the very essence of her
Wreaking havoc
Sinking ships & islands. It was frightening,
As it should be
For they chained her
Bloodied & bruised her.Forgetting that the sea cannot be restrained
& that if they tried,
she will take them to her depths
& no more...A resounding crack echoed
Through the otherwise silent grave
Where they buried her freedom
Believing it to be non attainable. The chains that bound her,
Crashed down, broken.
She rose on her bloodied legs,
Wobbling & shaking. She gazed around her in wonder
As the strength of freedom course through her
Her eyes contained a storm,
Barely restrained in her fury
Promising blood, gore, pain & death
To those who wronged her...& as the icy sea green eyes
penetrates them,
everything stilled, time lay forgotten
except for the rejoicing sea...
