I burst out laughing at her joke
Tears streamed down my face
As I struggle to keep breathing
& They laughed along with me
Everyone was happy
All was fine.
Suddenly I was pulled into darkness
I heard loud shrieks & bangs
I followed the sound through the dark
& Came across a door
with several chains & locks
There was a caution of 'NO ENTRY'.
Curious, I clicked opened the door
& Stood there shell shocked
For I saw a girl covered in dirt
Staring into the void
With tear stained cheeks & quivering lips
Body racking with loud sobs.
I hurried out of the room
Locked it securely & flee from there
The place I now recognize as my mind
A broken place with clutters & blood
I flee from the girl
Whom now I recognise as myself.
I flee from her cries
I flee from loneliness
I flee from desperation
I flee from the real me
& I was back in reality
scratch that,
I was back in the fake world that I created for myself
Where I laugh along with them
As if I haven't seen anything
Or heard nor felt.
The door remained locked...
Along with the locked away girl...
Forever...
'cause she could never survive this cold world.
