Georgia's POV

Joey lead me out towards the back door so no one could see where we had come from.
"Okay, urm, do you know any coffee shops around here? I haven't really looked around the area" Joey asked.
"Yeah, there's one just over the road"
I lead Joey in the direction of the coffee shop, we spoke about the evening on our way.
"It was amazing Joey! And I can't believe I got to meet my two favourite bands" I smiled with so much joy.
"Hey, I should be saying thanks to you. It's not often I'm anybodies saviour"
"Come on, there's probably a load of other fans like me out there...but I definitely love you the most out of them"
"Well, that's a good thing because I love you too.. Actually, I've never met a girl at a concert that I've wanted to be friends with, let alone have feelings for. Most of them use me to get to my dad or for money"
"Awwww, well I can tell you for a fact I want you for you and nothing else"
Joey put his hand together with mine and smiled warmly. He gazed into my eyes..
"You have beautiful blue eyes by the way" he complimented me. I started giggling and couldn't control myself. Oh my.
"Thanks" I eventually managed to say. I'm not great when it comes to guys as I've never really had a boyfriend... I don't know what to do in situations like this.
"This one" I looked up at the coffee shop sign which read '409' above the door. I knew the shop keeper was a fan of Green Day as on the walls they have records in frames, the majority of which are in fact, Green Day. We also had a discussion about them when I came to London for a day before, and ended up in this very shop.
Joey and I walked in hand in hand up to the counter. The guy behind the till seemed our age and had a name tag with the name 'Dirnt' on it.
"Hey guys! How can I help you?"
"Can I have a coffee please? What would you like Georgie?"
"Can I have a tea please?"
"You most certainly can! Take a seat and I'll bring it over" The guy supposedly name 'Dirnt' smiled showing all of his teeth and went right away to make our drinks. Joey and I sat down at the table closest to the counter. The coffee shop was like a mimicked American diner, red cushioned seats with checkered walls and things like Sloppy Joe's on the menus. The records on the walls were also all American punk rock or pop punk bands. Sum 41, Blink 182, the list went on. It was my second favourite place in london, after the emirates.
"Here is your tea and coffee, is there anything else I can get you?"
"No thankyou" Joey and I both said at the same time.
"Excuse me for asking... But aren't you Billie-Joe's son?"
"Yeah I am" Joey politely smiled.
"Wow, must be awesome! My name tag says Dirnt because Mike is my hero, I learnt bass because of him. Hey could you do me a favour?"
"That's rad. Yeah sure?"
"Well I got Lost At 17 on vinyl, would you mind signing it if I quickly grab it?"
"Of course I don't mind" Joey smiled.
"Thankyou! Please give me one minute"
Joey and I laughed as 'Dirnt' ran off fangirling.
"Oh I do love the fans" Joey chuckled to himself.
"It's cute how you guys have such a close relationship with your fans"
"We love them, I mean without people like you or Dirnt, we wouldn't be in the charts or making sales"
"And that's one of the many reasons I love you" I said while smiling at Joey.
"And same for you" he leant over the table and kissed me delicately on the lips.
Dirnt came running back shouting 'I've got it! I've got it!'
Joey and I laughed as we watched Dirnt manically run over to us. He smacked the Vinyl, still in the wrapper, on the table infront of us.
"Please can you sign it with this? I don't want to the pen to rub off!" Dirnt handed Joey a black sharpie (permanent marker).
"Do you want me to just write my name or a message with it?"
"Oh my god! I don't mind sorry for being a nuisance"
"It's fine man, one minute"
I watched Joey as he concentrated on what he was writing...
'To the crew at 409, you do the best coffee in England! Thanks for the service, you're the best! Joey x'
"Thankyou so much Joey!"
"You're very welcome"
"I'll leave you to finish your drinks now haha sorry"
"It's fine, thanks dude!"
Dirnt walked away with the biggest grin I'd ever seen, ever, on his face.
"So what was it you wanted to talk about?" Joey said while caringly smiling at me.
"Uhm, well, it's about the September thing..." My voice was shaky. I had my hand on the table, Joey put his hand on mine to reassure me he was there to listen.
"Basically Joey, my whole life, I've been beaten up, abused, threatened and bullied by my parents and then at my school. My parents were addicts, my brother, he was older than me..He, he, um, committed suicide in September... I use to listen to Wake Me Up When September Ends every night to remember him. He protected me from my parents, he took the pain I should've been getting, but I was only little, I didn't understand... Two years ago... I attempted suicide... It failed, clearly, but-um, I also self harmed. And that's why Liam always calls me a little emo, I only did it because I needed relief, from everything. I got moved into a foster home when I was 13... But it just doesn't feel like family. I don't really feel welcome... So I guess I eventually found my connection with music, it gave me hope. You gave me hope. I can't thank you enough for that" I can't believe I just told Joey all of that.. A single tear ran down my face and Joey sat there looking sad and shocked, scared most of all.
"Georgia. You, you're incredible. You're the strongest person I've met. Wow. I really don't know what to say, people like you are so incredible. I'm here for you through no matter what, okay? I promise. No more self harming for me Georgia, just smiles. You'll be happy from now on I promise you" Joey squeezed my hand as he said this, it was amazing how much he cared. His eyes looked sad, but his voice sounded amazed.
"Thankyou Joey" I really didn't know what to say.
"No, thankyou for telling me Georgia, I won't tell anyone, your secret is safe with me"
"Thanks again Joey, you don't know how much this means to me"
"You're amazing Georgia, I love you" he literally just said the words 'I love you'. I mean, we've already said it, but kind of hidden in a sentence. This time, he said it. He just said it.
"I love you too" I had managed to say that properly, with meaning, for the first time in 17 years.
"So you wanna hear some good news?" Joey said super excitedly.
"Yeah that would be nice" I joked about.
"Well, I know you're a fan of Green Day and Emily's Army and um, actually, we're going to Portsmouth today to pick Seb up as he was with his girlfriend watching Weatus I think? And we have 5 beds on our tour bus and a sofa bed, and I asked the guys and they said would you like to join us on tour?"
Joey, asked me to join EMILYS ARMY on tour!!! EMILYS ARMY!!!!!!!
"Yes, yes, yes!!!!!" I screamed with excitement.
"Well, I mean Seb usually stays on the sofa bed but, Alfie and Vicky can stay in the spare bed tonight and you can stay with me, urh well, I mean, if you wanna stay with me and then we can go to yours to get some stuff while you're in Portsmouth"
"That sounds great! Thankyou so much! And I'd love to stay with you" I winked at him.
"I can't wait" Joey enthusiastically grinned at me.
This was the beginning to something incredible.
Joey and I left the coffee shop, hand in hand the same way we entered.
We crossed the road to sit on a little wall near the back of the Stadium.
"Urm, Georgia, so I know we've only known each other a while..." Joey started to say as we just sat on the wall kicking stones on the floor.
"And urm, I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on a date or something sometime? I mean you don't have too... but yeah it'd be rad if you do want too"
"I would love to go on a date with you Joey, don't think any different you're amazing and handsome and talented" I smiled at him. He slid his arm around the back of my waist and I rested my head on his shoulder. I am officially dating Joey Armstrong. The sweetest, funniest, most kindest, amazing, talented, best looking guy I could ever ask for. And he is the only guy I had ever wanted. Was this all a dream that I'll wake up from anytime soon?
