Samantha opened the door for four broad guys and one small girl. They inturduced themselves, then filled the room. Sarah asked where Jake was and Sam brought her into the bedroom. She immediately turned Jake over. Somehow, his wings were gone, and Sam puzzled how that had happened. Sarah checked Jake's vitals, and was satisfied after she knew he was still alive and would recover. She ran here hands over his wounds, and they began to heal themselves. Then, she leaned down, and gave him a small, gentle kiss. Sam's cheeks heated up, and she had to stop herself from calling him hers.
"I, uh," she said instead. "I gave ahim a standard anesthetic. I'm a med student, and I've been keeping the medications I've been working with in class." Sarah gave her a very upsetting stare, then checked herself.
"I'm sorry. Um, next time, Samantha, please don't give any thing to any of the guys without my consent. Our bodies aren't normal, and a regular medication just might kill us. You got very lucky, but just don't do it again. Okay, hon?" Sam was speechless.
"I'm," she stammered. "I'm gonna go check on the rest. You just let me know if there's anything I can do." She left, very flustered, and stepped into thge living room. Lucy was there, sitting very close to Jim, and trying to get to his lips.
"Okay, um, is there anything, you guys would like to drink?" She asked, trying to get her mind off of the kiss.
"Luke wants coke, if you have it." Jim said. "Jason wants water, EJ and LJ want milk-if that's alright, and I'll have pepsi, if you have it, please and thank you." Sam smiled, said it was no problem, and got the drinks ready.
Sarah cam out and explained that he would be good. "What hapened to him?" EJ asked.
"He was attacked by the animals you guys were." Sarah said, and Sam's mouth dropped . Only, there were three, not tow, and he took them all out." Luke's mouth dropped.
"But, it took all five of us to take on one. He killed three? Wow!" At that moment, Jake walked out of the bedroom, and everyone in the room clapped. He smiled and tried to get them to stop, but they didn't. Sam gave him a huge hug, then helped him sit down.
"Sarah, how are you here? I thought you were with Charde." He said, warily.
"Mike's with her." She replied
"HER?" Jake asked, confused. "I thought Governor charde was the chemist. That's what you told me." They all just stared at him silently, and he got very upset.. "Okay, guys. This is not cool. I was told that I am in charge. How am I suppossed to lead if I don't have the right information?"
"Jake, we did it-" Sarah tried.
"I know why you did it. I'm saying it wasn't right!" Jake exploded. They all nodded in apology, and then he stood up. "We need to discuss how we are going to operate with this new threat. Unfortunately, we can't do it here. Let's all go back so we can lay out the-"
"No." Sam interrupted. "You can't leave. You're not well enough."
"I'm fine," Jake assured her, but she shook her head.
"No. Do you know how hard it was dragging you into the room? It's really hard, and I burnt myself. Twice! So, you guys can talk about whatever, but you're not leaving here until I'm satisfied. So sit down while I go make dinner!" With that, she stormed out of the room.
"Dang, you better do what she says, man." Luke said. "Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned." she giggled a bit, then took out what she needed for pasta and got started. after a few minutes, Sarah came over and stood in the doorway, watching.
"What do you want?" Sam asked. Sarah held her hands up.
"I just wanted to let you know that Jake and I aren't-aren't together. Yeah, I saw your face after I kissed him. I did it to get information about the encounter. It's a...power-you could say. Anyway, so, he's not taken, and you have fallen hard."
