Chapter 18

Liam's POV [In the pool]

"CANNONBALL!" Louis and Scarlet both shout, jumping into the pool.

"Don't you dare mess up my hair Tomlinson!" Sam growls. The girls smirk.

"So what do you exactly see in the dragon lady?" Rachel asks for the 500th time. Amber, the 'dragon lady' is inside texting.

"I don't know! She seemed pretty nice at the cafe!" I repeat from what I said earlier. JJ and Lily shake their heads disbelievingly.

"Hmm Amber Peck...rude, vain..who sees something in her?" Harvey thinks out loud.

"Liam, obviously" George replies.

"JJ is Amber staying here?" Scarlet asks me, doggy paddling to stay afloat.

"Yes." She replies.

"Unfourtunatly" Zayn mutters darkly. I hit him round the head.

Amber's POV

I can't believe Julia, Lily and Rachel LIVE here! I mean like, what were the chances? How did I not see the papers... I look out of the kitchen window and focus my gaze on where Liam is. He sees me and waves cheerfully while the others either stare or glare at me. I just go back to my phone, ignoring them all. Even my boyfriend. I see Liam give me a confused look out of the corner of my eye. I sigh, getting up and going to the guest bedroom.

Louis's POV

"Liam..." Luke waves a hand in front of his face while Ioan snaps his fingers.

"PAYNE!" I yell and he snaps out of the trance he was in.

"Huh wha?" He asks dazed.

"You went off in a daydream thing" Sam replies sipping his coke.

"You know, she was a whole lot nicer in the cafe" Liam sighs sadly.

"You better get used to this mood" lily says simply, "trust me, it comes up a lot"

I snigger before trailing off into silence.

"Well I'm getting a refill! Who else wants one?" JJ announces. We all raise our hands. She takes our glasses and goes inside, trailing water.

"I'm gonna go help" I say getting out of the pool.

"Ok!" Rachel smiles rest her head on Niall's shoulder while lily sits on Harry's lap. The rest of them start chatting, everyone getting to know the new group of boys.
